To a man I knew briefly, but knew well through his best mate and mine Victor and through your beautiful fiancé, Marie. I know how much love, laughter, sunshine and happiness you brought into everyones life.. You are thought of often all over the world. From Australia, to Florida to NYC. In our hearts, mind and soul. With love Karen

Thinking about you today and how you made me laugh in the office. THANKS for making a kid from the west coast feel at home in the big city.

I was Dennis' neighbor at 7 Park Avenue. We used to see each other every day as I walked Asbury and he returned home from the train. We saw each other around, in the elevator, at the mailbox, etc. Since 9/11 ... we just miss him around here, and I often wonder what life would have been like, as he was engaged and had so much of life ahead of him. We miss you, Dennis.

I was looking for an old friend today, and instead I found a hero. I will always love you.

My English class read a poem, "The Names" by Billy Collins. Your name was in the poem. I just wanted to pay tribute to you.
May God bless you,
Michael

As a dear friend of Marie Sandre, his fiancee, my thoughts are with everyone that Dennis touched through his personality and soul. Courage to everyone as we remember.

Dennis is still shining down on all of us, however, most of all on Marie. I try not to feel as though it happened yesterday and try to remember how much he cared for us all and loved Marie so dearly. He was truly a fair and balanced man who loved life and those close to him. Marie, I share your pain now, as I did five years ago; however, he is still within all of us, as his soul has touched us so deeply and always will.

Very dear friends of his fiancee, Marie Sandre. Her hurt is our hurt, and we are very proud she was honored to read some of the victims' names on 9/11/06. Our prayers are with her and Dennis J. O'Connor.

Post your memorial thoughts:
Share your feelings and memories of grief and
sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories. If you knew this
person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with
us something about his/her life:
- what kind of person he/she was,
- what nice points you remember about him/her,
- what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
- what you two perhaps did together,
- what he/she meant to you,
- or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging
for other people.
This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.
Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner. We are maintaining this site with our own money and time. We try to keep the advertisements to a minimum and we try to make them as unobtrusive as possible. The revenue goes back to maintaining this site.
Thank you for your understanding in these matters.
