She was only 20 and had her whole life ahead of her. She was such a brave women to fight to live even though every one on the plane knew that they wouldn't survive.

Hey, there, Deora,

My name is Darcy, and I just finished watching the remembrance show "United 93," and it touched my heart very deeply. It is so sad that you and many others lost your lives on the plane that day, and my heart goes out to you and everyone else on board. I can only imagine how terrified and scared you were. May you, and everyone else on board United Airlines Flight 93, rest in peace.

Ciao, Deora! Ti scrivo dall'Italia! Ciao, piccola. Riposa in pace e salutami le stelle! -Alessandro

Hi. I'm doing a paper on Deora, and I have learned soooo much. She seems to have been an outgoing, beautiful person who was always trying to help others in need. I have read the activities she was in or volunteered at. Her mother did a wonderful job of raising her and should be very proud of all of Deora's accomplishments. I am one of millions who will remember her and her story.

Sincerely,
Jennifer Cooke (7th grade)

I can not seem to let go of the memories I have of meeting Deora when she was a little girl, it was during a wedding of my Aunt in San Diego, I can not express the deep sorrow I have everyday and I did not even know her, I have since seen her picture and she certaintly grew to be a beautiful young lady. It is truly the world's loss when this wonderful person was taken from us. I feel such pain and loss and only wish each of us could take away some of the pain the families have suffered.  July 21, 2004

There are no words to express the pain.  I have never even met Deora or her family, but I feel the pain.  I pray for her all the time.  For some reason, I feel that I should've known her.  I was looking through the names of the victims, and Deora's name stood out.  I clicked on the name and the most beautiful face appeared on the screen.  I just pray that I will get the chance to meet her in heaven, along with the other victims of September 11th.  God Bless her family, for the pain they feel.

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
