Dear Diana, always in my mind even befoe 9/11. I pray for you and all the others that made the transition that day to the other side. You are still with us, sometimes I can feel your energy and see you smiling I never saw you sad even if you were. Those were good days we had a lot of fun and of course your sisters Miriam and Lily were there also. We were so young but time makes us grow and mature so here I am in my senior years still remembering the good old days and never forgetting. From my heart, blessings to you and your parents who have also passed away. Your friend, Maria Socorro "CoCo". 09/11/11

In behalf of all the Ayala family and the Ledesma family "Rest In Peace, Diana"

I never met Diana, but after the attack to the pentagon, I found out that Diana was the aunt of one of my nephews and niece. It hit me hard cause even when I did not know her I felt she was family and I felt as if I lost another family member. I was already feeling for everyone who lost their lives, but knowing this hurt even more, since I did not have a chance to meet her one day, or share family moments in one of those occasions when family form all parts get together.
May she rest in peace with all others from 9/11.

I met Diana and her sisters thru their mother, whom I worked with. We all became friends. I would spend some weekends with them especially when the town fiesta was going on. Many years have passed but I never forgot them, Diana, Miriam and Lily and of course their parents. I moved to Washington, D.C. and then to Los Angeles. I always wanted to contact them but life goes by so fast I just kept them in my thoughts and prayers especially Diana. Diana was very special, very outgoing she would advice me on love matters, and life in general. I encounterd some difficulties with the man I loved and she was right there helping me to understand. Her sisters were also wonderful and kind as was her parents. I pray for Diana every day and I can see her smiling very happy and alive. For we never die we just continue on another journey until it is time to meet with our loved ones once again.  I was from Hatillo, now I live in Lexington, South Carolina. With Love, M. CoCo

DIANA WAS MY LOVING AND OLDER SISTER. SHE WOULD TELL EVERYBODY THAT SHE WAS THE YOUNGEST OF US THREE. SHE HAD A VERY NICE LIFE NEXT TO HER JOSE AND TWO CHILDREN, JOSE JAVIER AND JUAN CARLOS. SHE WOULD COME TO PUERTO RICO TO VISIT HER PARENTS AND FAMILY. SHE WAS ONE THIRD OF MY LIFE, IN OTHER WORDS WE WERE THREE SISTERS AND BY HER TRAGIC DEPARTURE WE REMAIN TWO THIRDS. SHE WAS VERY INTELIGENTE. I REMEMBER HER TELLING ME IF SOME ASK YOU, "DO YOU KNOW HOW TO DO THIS OR THAT," TO ALWAYS SAY YES, AND THEN FIND SOMEONE TO TELL YOU HOW IT'S DONE. NEXT TIME I WILL WRITE MORE THINGS ABOUT MY SISTER.
BYE YOUR SISTER MIRIAM

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner. The revenue goes back to maintaining this site.

Thank you for your understanding in these matters.
