Some day everyone in the world will learn about you, and honor your bravery, your grit, and your name.

Dear Edna,
After ten years I learned your story and was overwhelmed by your courage and strength in face of unimaginable horror. I shall always remember you in that black hole and I believe God was there with you as you looked out. I pray that you were comforted in that hour by a higher power who gave you peace. We will always remember and you stand as a symbol for all who died on that day.

God Bless you I cannot believe you maintained your composure the way you did. I feel such anxiety and deep sadness when I see what happened.
I pray that you are up and happy in heaven and that through Jesus Christ I may one day meet you.. : ) eternal love Scott

Dear Edna, In great sadness I just viewed some videos on youtube of you. There you were standing and waving with hope of rescue and then it seems you are standing there with brave resolve. Although, I know you are no longer suffering and that where you are is filled with bliss joy and peace, waiting for the time to be reunited with your dear ones, I do believe in my heart in your time of tragedy that God was with you, along side of you as He was with so many on that horrific day. My heart aches thinking of you and I can barely imagine the suffering you and so many others endured but I know in my heart of hearts that you were not alone and that He was with you as He is the Comforter and I pray that comforts the pain of your loved ones. You now know the peace of His gentle, soft and green pastures of the other world. You are His beloved. Love you dear Edna, Leticia

Edna, ten years later the world has not forgotten you nor the people who died with you. I saw the pictures of you several years ago and they have haunted me since. To imagine the helplessness you must have felt is impossible. Your courage is an inspiration. God bless you  RIP

Dear Saint Edna, You, I know, are up in Heaven with the angels and other saints. Your presence and courage at that steel and fire doorway into the spirit world brought tears to the entire world. You were waving for help, which finally did become waves of goodby. Thank you, Saint Edna, for your inspirational actions. With love.

A very brave and courageous lady,
not for you to slip quietly into the dark,
but standing and raging against the night.
would that we share your courage when the night claims us.
God Bless you.

Dear Aunt Edna,
10 years today we celebrate your life and your loss. It still hurts to think of the finality of so many who lost their lives. I saw your name on the memorial today and tears filled my face but instead of consistent sadness I want to do something nice for someone. Yesterday I sold my photography prints to help a little girl who was severely burned. Everyday I will honor you and everyone lost by being the best mother I can be, the most beloved wife and person. I spoke to dad today... He still has a hard time with your loss and says aunt Mirna takes time off to mourn your loss.
We will be fine but always no that your life will never be forgotten. We will go on and forever remember YOU! I love you. PS... I have a new son. He is 18 months, we called him Nick! You would love my boys and I know they would love you! Until we meet again!

It was not until today, the tenth anniversary of the attack, that I learned about you. The courage that you displayed will be an inspiration to me as long as I live. I have added your name to the list of people that I would like to meet in the next life. I pray that your family will find peace in the knowledge that you, and all of us, will live again through the merits of the Lord Jesus Christ. (John 11:25) May you rest safely in the arms of God.

Ten years ago I watched on the news the Twin Towers burning. I saw the footage of Edna waving in the wreckage for the first time this year. May God rest her soul.

Edna, it is truly indiscribible how quickly you were transformed from an ordinary working woman to an international hero as you stood at the towering heights and edge of death. You seemed so composed, brave. When I first began witnising the event on tv, I said a little heartful prayer as I knew many many people were suffering horendously. I hope to meet you personaly in heaven so I can give you a big hug and kiss.

Today (9/09/11) my school all wore a name tag in memorance of a 9/11 victim. My victim was Edna Cintron. So in computers class, I looked up Mrs. Cintron to for an assignment, and I completely lost it when I found her story. Mrs. Cintron seemed like a wonderful women and it was horrible that this happened to her and the almost 3,000 others. May you rest in peace Mrs. Edna Cintron... You and everyone else in Heaven from this tragedy. I will always remember you and your story. God Bless <3

Edna......I never knew you but now I know you. I never loved you but now I love you. You felt so alone on the side of the tower but you will never be alone. All of us are with you and we will always be with you just as you are now with us. Rest well in the shelter of our Lord......you are now an angel with a pair of wings...never to fall again.

i dont know Edna personaly, but I was drawn to her story and read as much material about her that I could find. To Edna and her family.... I feel a tug in my heart for her loss and the pain that the family must have delt with. Out of the milions of people in this world, know this, there is a person out there that feels a sense of loss for her.I had anxiety over how helpless her situation was. but one day I became calm knowing that angels reached for her that day. I think every one should know Ednas story.... her courage should reflect in every one of us. this country needs more Ednas before its to late. GB

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site.
