Edna I still feel helpless seeing you trying to be rescued from the WTC. You showed such courage and strength and determination. The urge to help you was so strong yet we all felt useless. I hope God keeps you safe, sweet angel. This world is not good enough for beautiful people like you and all the other victims of this sad day. May god keep your family safe too. RIP xx

I saw the videos of you facing your death, and all I could think of is what was going through your mind. You had too much to live for in your life. I am deeply saddened and wish there was something I could have done. So sorry you had to stand on the edge of hell and be one of the most helpless people in the world. You will not be forgotten. God Bless, God Speed

May you become the patron Saint of all who bravely survive and hold out for rescue in the face of tragedy.

Even in your last moments of life, I saw you fight to the bitter end. You are a strong, courageous woman, and I am so sorry that this happened to you. I cannot even begin to imagine what it was like for you or the others after the planes hit. I can only hope that God came for you quickly. R.I.P., Edna.... You will NEVER be forgotten!

I was 26 years old when America was attacked. I am now going back and revisiting the events of that terrible day. I am learning things I never knew about. One of those things is the fact that you were standing in the hole where the plane hit, waving in hopes someone would see you, save you. All I can think is, why, oh why, didn't someone save you? You were right there. There was no smoke blocking our view of you, so what was blocking us from saving you? Why, oh why, didn't someone fly up and save you? I can't believe you are gone. You will always be in my memory now. I am sorry that no one came for you.

[Ed. - May God bless you, Edna. I pray that your heart is at rest and that you're resting in peace in the arms of God. I saw the photographs and the videos. My heart and my soul cry when I imagine what happened in that tower. We did not know each other — we are not even same nationality — but no matter, I want to share my most sincere condolences with your family, your close relations, and your friends.]

God bless you, Edna.

Edna was or even still is a symbolic sign of surviving and hope. There are loads of terrible things happening in this world, but Edna symbolically, even literally, stood on top of a terrible event and kept fighting, hoping, and believing. People lose trust and hope in themselves and commit suicide because they think there is no way out, or they don't succeed in life as much as they would like to — but Edna kept standing at the 'edge of her life' and hoped! That should be a lesson to EVERYONE who has thought of suicide!

I automatically cried my eyes out, and I'm a strong person, but I just wanted to reach through my screen and save you. I did not know you, but all my love and condolences to your family. You are one brave and beautiful woman. Rest peacefully in God's arms, Edna. I will remember you!

I never knew you, and I only know of you now due to the pictures of you. From what I have read, you were a hard-working woman who never let life get in the way of making a good life for yourself. I can't begin to imagine the pain your family went through, and the loss they must feel, but I'm sure that they are glad to have had you in their life. People may be taken from us, but we never forget in our memories and our hearts. To me you will live forever. All my love to everyone who ever knew you. XX

I came across this page by accident, but it's no accident that Edna and her beautiful, loving family will be in my thoughts for as long as memories allow. I was saddened and touched by her story and pray that her family are surrounded by the enemy of pain, which is LOVE.

I witnessed the attacks from the other side of the Atlantic, watching the news, reading the newspapers, viewing videos on line. After all these years, one of the first things that comes to my mind when thinking about "history" is the Towers. I was watching videos on Youtube today and came across "Edna´s footage." I just dropped by to leave a kind word because of all the things I´ve seen related to 9/11, no doubt Edna was the most impressive. May God protect her in the afterlife, and may all those who died in this tragedy R.I.P. My best regards to Edna´s family and to all the other families who lost someone dear to them. May God bless you all.

I keep looking at the pictures and videos of her. I didn´t know her, but still ... I feel so much pain and grief! May the angels be with her.

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
