I sure hope you are with Jesus Christ and God's angels up in heaven.

May you rest in peace. It was such a sad act of terrorism. You were brave. I am so sorry to your family for their loss.

Dear Edna Cintron,

When I was watching videos of you in the WTC that was named "Fire Weakens Steel But Not Woman," I said to myself that you are truly a strong woman. Mind and body. Even in the toughest time in your life you stood strong like a proud American should. May God bless your soul and may you rest in peace for all eternity.

*As the bodies of the victims of 9-11 fade away into the never ending wheels of time, may their memory and pictures stay alive forever in the minds of America.*

Edna ... by you being there shows the real truth.... Rest with Jesus, beautiful one.

I look at the photos of Edna, and my heart bleeds for her family. Everyone was just so helpless--how did she survive the impact? If only there had been a way to get to them all. To the families and friends of those who have lost a loved one to any act of terrorism, know that people the whole world round keep you close in their hearts.

Dear Edna,

Rest in peace. You are always with all of us who will carry our memory of your last brave moments. Thank you for showing me what bravery looks like.

Dear Edna,

I have watched the videos and photographs of your last moments. I feel so sad for you and your family and for the fact that anybody could do this to other human beings. Even though I never knew you, it's clear you are a brave woman who fought to try to save her life in the most terrible circumstances, and I'm sure your family are so proud of that. So many others did the same that day. I hope this never happens again. You can be sure that your bravery has touched people around the world like me, and we will all love and look out for each other more because of it. God bless.

A message from England, sending our love to your family, and remembering those lost but never forgotten! x

On this day of Sept 11, 2008 I remember you. My son, who is two now, will know of his aunt Edna. After the stories and laughs, I will teach him that every day is a beautiful day and to live as though it will be our last, forgive when angry, laugh when sad, and when ever you can have a great big belly laugh! To do his best at everything he does, and to love and respect all. Everyone has something to teach us. Take the time to listen, and we will learn the beauty of people. I wonít make the mistake again of losing someone before I can tell them how much they meant to me. We miss you and will forever hold your spirit in our hearts!

Love you,
Your niece Angie and Tyler

I miss you!

This is to tell you that we will never forget you. You will always be in our hearts. We are very grateful that we had the chance to meet you in this life, but we will meet again on the other side.

I saw you for the first time tonight, and I choke up thinking about your bravery that you displayed on that horrible day.... I wish I could have rescued you. Rest in peace, Edna.

Today was the first time I saw the footage of you standing at the edge. I wish I had the words to express how deeply you moved me.

In each instance of great loss, there is always a story that reaches out and touches the heart. That human moment for me was Edna. Her story ... not merely the way her life ended, but the way it was lived ... touched me deeply, and will be forever embellished on my heart. You will always be remembered; to forget is not an option. Your sacrifice was senseless, but it will not have been in vain.

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
