Always thinking of and missing the big man. Wish you were here, my man.

When I think of all the millions of memories from the days at MKI and Eurobrokers, Credit Suisse ... the greatest are the nights out with Too Tall and you and the rest of the gang. And then I think about what a graceful evolution you made from the "partytime" of the 80's to the "makeithappentime" of the 90's. You, dear Eric, became a better man every day. And I'm thankful to have witnessed even a slice of life with you.

Hey, Tio Eric,

I can't believe it's been 6 years since you've been gone. Everyday on this day I remember how, when you used to be around, how much fun you were to be around. I remember the ski trip you took me on, and how you believed in me even when I was sort of misbehaving. I guess that's what we do as teenagers, huh? Now being 23 years old, I've realized that life is what you make it, and you never know when it's gonna end. You were a wonderful uncle, and it hurts me inside to not have been able to get the chance to say thank you for everything you did for me. You always had a heart of gold, and I want people to know that about you. You didn't have to do anything for me, but you did. You took me on trips, you made me laugh, and you had adult talks with me, and for that I can't put into words how much I love you. You are missed, tio! In dedication to my uncle. By the way, my 2 cousins are beautiful. Great job!

I miss you everyday. I miss your crazy jokes, laughing until we couldn't breathe, Yankee games, concerts, Super Bowls, dinners, and the list goes on and on. One of the best things I have ever done was name my son after you. It keeps you with me always. You made me a better man.

Always,
Chris

Blanka,

I met you and Eric in the parking lot of the Continental Arena to see the "Other Ones" in 1998. Eric invited me to join you and him on the Floor. I then ran into Eric at the "Phil Lesh and Friends show at the Beacon Theatre in 2000. We exchanged phone numbers. I called him September 2nd and we made plans to see each other for the upcoming Phil Lesh shows at the Beacon Theatre in 2001. That would never happen. I remember calling you on Sept 11th to see if you heard from Eric. You were still hoping to hear from him. I am so sorry for you loss. Eric and I shared the love of the Grateful Dead. I hope you can share that love of his music with your children.

Take Care,
Keith Lynch

In 2001, I was teaching a first grade class. One day I pulled out my old first grade class photo from Medford Avenue Elementary School in Patchogue, New York, to show my class what I looked like at age 6. There sitting next to me was Eric. He really was the cutest little boy!

My clearest memory of Eric was in second grade, when our teacher, Miss Giretti, encouraged us to show off our talents. Eric was taking violin lessons, and gamely performed for us, sawing away at his instrument. Nothing has quite so unique a sound as a violin at the hands of a novice performer!

The last time I saw Eric was at our ten-year high school reunion. Although we were never close friends, he recognized me immediately, and with his characteristic good humor, made me feel that I had been an important part of his childhood.

The world always benefits from the presence of people of good will. We miss you Eric. God bless you. Rest in peace.

hey Eric

I miss you so much. I still find myself looking for you while I walk down wall street. I remember you each and every birthday and Valentine's day. You will always be my special valentine. I loved you so much. You were the greatest friend I ever had.

Margaret

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner. The revenue goes back to maintaining this site.
