I went to middle school and high school with Eric. I always remember him as a loving, caring, funny, and mischievious guy. Eric was not without a smile, joke, or good word for everyone - whether they were in his inner circle of friends or just someone he knew. We were a small graduating class (relatively) and it has rocked so many of us to have lost such a wonderful representative of our graduating class, such a wonderful person, and someone who, though I lost touch with many years ago, but feel so much pride in when I read about his heroic acts in the Tower and in the rest of his adult life!

My condolences go to those fortunate enough to have known him in later years and my admiration and best wishes for a restful peace to a boy and young man who was always a pleasure to know.

I thought of Eric today. I work for a major insurance carrier and Eric visited us in KC. A fun guy, we had a great time kidding each other about the NY Giants as he was a big fan and I am a Steelers Fan. I am saddened all over again every year at this time. He was a super fellow and I miss his friendship and that great sense that he looked forward to every morning as another happy day.

I worked with Eric at Geico. I was very saddened to hear of his passing. I was no longer there, but my sister-in-law told me that they let everyone know at Geico when it happened, although he was no longer working there, either. R.I.P., Eric. He was a very sweet guy.

I remember Eric from high school, always so sweet and kind. I'm so sorry that such a tragedy fell upon him. It's unimaginable and a terrible loss. My sadness and wishes are with all of his loved ones.

I turned 40 on 9/11/2009 in Baghdad, Iraq ... and I spent the day remembering some fantastic times with a good friend.

Today I was able to honor Eric by participating in a 2.1 mile formation run with all personnel at Lackland AFB TX. It was a great tribute to all those that lost their lives on that day in 2001. Team Lackland is proud to serve in the military so this will never happen again. We are sorry for those families that lost loved ones. They will never be forgotten.

I was surfing the net for a friend that I lost. She was a beautiful friend I met on Long Island in my high school years. I couldn't find a research site that could find her. So I put my own name out on the Net, and, as I discovered, there was another Eric Eisenberg that died in the 9/11 tragedy. I remember that day (or to us that morning) in BC, Canada and ran out of my house, screaming, "I've lost my friends." Mr Eric Adam Eisenberg, I don't know what this all adds up to be. But, in my world, there's a reason for everything. I will keep you in my prayers.

See you when,
Eric K. Eisenberg

My children saved their money to purchase a brick for the September 11 Memorial built in Tewksbury, MA. We just received a certificate with Eric's name as the person whose brick we sponsored. We are so sorry for his family's tragic loss and are honored to be part of his memory.

Eric, I worked with you briefly but you were a very warm and wonderful person.  Always having a big smile and a firm handshake.

Rest in peace.

Eric, I was just thinking of you (I always do anyway ) but it is the Sunday after xmas and I was just thinking about the first time I gave you a xmas present. You told me that you really didn't like to exchange gifts. I told you that I didn't care about that and that you would love what I gave you. You had a skeptical look on your face and then saw the "Pinky and the Brain" stuffed animals and smiled that Big Eric smile. You said you usually hated stuffed animals but couldn't believe that I found these. I wish that you and I were speaking before this happened. I miss my movie buddy. Movies are not the same without you.
I will never forget you.
I love you.
Lori

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
