Another year has gone by, and I see the new Towers rising and the Memorial being readied for the tenth anniversary of the horrific event that took your life and the lives of so many other innocent people. Your courage and the courage of your firefighter brothers and the police officers who ran in while others were doing their best to escape still amazes me. Still so hard to comprehend that the terrorists were/are able to find so many people willing to do their bidding and cause so much horror and sadness. RIP, Eric. Always in my prayers.

Remembering Eric, the sadness you feel. But, Moreso, the courage that he showed, he paid the ultimate price. For that we will always remember him. Ken, I hope that you remember me, I worked at LACMA in the payroll department at the time of the tragedy.

Eric was my sister Kathy's husband. My son Thomas said it best: A hero for so many that day. Eric, you are missed every day. You are in our thoughts and prayers daily.

R.I.P. Uncle Eric.
Eric was my father's (Joe), sister's (Kathy) husband. He was also my Godfather (even though he wasn't a Catholic)
I miss you Uncle Eric
These times are never easy for the family - we'll always remember you and Aunt Kathy. We know you two are together looking over us. We always talk about you at home - and it helps us know that you were a hero for so many people.
I'll always remember the times we spent together.
You're always in my heart.
Thomas.

Eric,
I only knew you for a short time, and I'm sure all will miss your kindness and devotion to your family, friends, and those you swore to protect as a firefighter. I know that Kathleen welcomed you into her arms again, when you touched GOD's light.

Things changed so much for Jennifer and Nicholas after Eric was taken from them. I pray that Eric will rest in peace and that his prayers will help Jennifer be strong for Nicholas.

I NEVER MET YOU, BUT I KNEW YOUR BROTHER KEN. I FELT THE PAIN WHEN HE RETURNED FROM NY, SAD TO DISCOVER THE FACT THAT YOU DID NOT SURVIVE THE DEVASTATION AT WTC. AT THAT POINT, I REALIZED HOW 'REAL' THE TERRORIST ACT WAS AND I WAS SADDENED EVEN MORE. HOW 'CLOSE' IT HAD COME TO SOMEONE I KNEW.

Post your memorial thoughts:
Share your feelings and memories of grief and
sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories. If you knew this
person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with
us something about his/her life:
- what kind of person he/she was,
- what nice points you remember about him/her,
- what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
- what you two perhaps did together,
- what he/she meant to you,
- or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging
for other people.
This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.
Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner.
