Today, on the 10th Anniversary, I placed the cut-out heart
and a print out picture of Frank on my prayer table, and am
remembering him especially today.

I send my thoughts and prayers to the family also. Though I
am on one Coast and you on the other, I am linked with you
in the common sorrow of loss and grief. Reading about Frank
on the sites that list all the victims of 9/11, and watch-
ing the beautiful tributes brings us together in the human
family.

I will not forget Frank, nor you in prayer.
Lovingly,
Sister Roseagnes, Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet,
Los Angeles,Ca.

I never met Frank. I am a friend of his cousin, Diane Keller. I would like Frank and his family to know that I will never forget. On the occasion of the 10th Anniversary of 9-11. God Bless, George Felice, Philadelphia, PA.

Never Forgotten.

On this 10th Anniversary of 9/11 I just want to say I remember Frank. Not only as a fellow resident of Mendham, a fellow commuter into New York City on NJ Transit, but as warm and friendly guy, proud father and devoted hsuband. It’ funny, that each time I think of 9/11, I think of Frank. I know that Frank would laugh and that’s how I like to remember him.

This message is for Katie and the kids:

Some people wait a whole lifetime and never find the kind of love you all had from Frank. Celebrate what he left you: each other.

From his loving friend,
Cherie (Shorty)

I belonged to a choral group in Santa Barbara the year of the 9-11 tragedy. We all received a cutout heart with the name of a person who died then. Francis Skidmore was the name I picked. I have remembered him, and his family, in my prayers. For some reason I dreamt of a man about his age who passed by me and disappeared as quickly as he came. I did not see his face, but held him in prayer this morning. I just wanted you to know that he is always with us in whatever way that happens.

I am so happy to have found this website. I feel privileged to connect with such a memorial of love. God bless you all!

It has been 5 years, and I knew Mr. Skidmore and his wife and daughter Melissa well! I hope they get the chance to read this. I was 19 when he died. I remember the devout and true friendship he gave to my mom, and the many times he played Santa at Christmas. We all loved him very much. I remember being a Santa's elf and taking a picture with him when I was in elementary school. He was always so happy and fun to be around. Like a true to life teddy bear. 5 years have passed, but I still remember...

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner. We are maintaining this site with our own money and time. We try to keep the advertisements to a minimum and we try to make them as unobtrusive as possible. The revenue goes back to maintaining this site.
