I met Francisco when I joined Citibank in Jan. 2001...that year I had the opportunity to work with and get to know Francisco and learn the craft of Bank @ Work, as Francisco was our B@W relationship manager....many great hours were spent on calls, and client visits as Francisco taught me His craft......I remember the morning of 9/11 as Francisco rushed in the office only to rush out again to head to a meeting...Thanks again Francisco..You made a lasting impression.

Francisco I met you briefly but I knew that you were a wonderful person because I knew your family intimately. I share their loss as your death has changed so many lives. Your beautiful daughter Francesca carries your smile for us to see. I pray that wherever you are your spirit is happy and at peace. In honor of your family Ana, Maribel, Moises, Shirley and all the others I pray that you rest in peace eternally. Family friend Yvette.

What an amazingand wonderul human being. I hired Francisco into Citibank as a Teller and he later transitioned into sales.  I vividely remember the interview as if it was yesterday. He promised me then that if I hired him,he would make me proud and that he did- rising to becomone one of the top sales people for the branch system. If you walked into the branch, he made you feel as though there was no one more important that you. I witnessed it myself and the customers LOVED him and his peers adored him. He was that kind of person. If he was challenged by an event,I was sure to hear from him and we would discuss the issue and he would walk away with a solution for addressing. Most important,I remember his love for his family and how he talked about them and when he married Shirley, our last conversation was about how he could not wait to have a baby. He wanted a baby to be born on his birthday because he liked the way he turned out...LOL! He had a wonderful sense of humor. Francisco was my friend and I wanted nothing but the best for he and his family. On this 10th anniversary, I remember the absolute best of him and if I ever think about giving less than my best, I remember the spirit of my friend Francisco. May he rest in peace and I send my love to his wife and beautiful daughter.

Every year I light a candle and leave it on my front steps in loving memory of Franci (as we use to call him) who was my cousin but I had not seen in years even though we didn't live that far from each other..... I still remember him and I hope the world does too along with all the other people that lost their lives that day!

I send you my deepest condolences. Even if I don't know Francisco, or you Charlie, I know that he is in a better place now, and that there are people who will always keep the memories of him, close to their heart. No one will ever be dead, until there are loving and caring people who keep the memory alive. I send you and your family my love and I will pray for you all and of course I pray for Francisco. Rest in Peace my friend.

I am honored to post a rememberance/poem to Franciso on the eleventh, it is part 0f 2996 - I will be back to post my web address, I am touched by the words here already spoken - and the hearts that this man touched. We all lost so much that day, now we live with the responsibility to never forget what happened, and to keep our children and grandchildren aware of the value of life, and that good and evil are struggling on this planet. Good wins, Thanks be to God!

Francis was a great man. He was a good brother and a even better son to his mother. My father was very proud of him. I was also very proud of him and the way he came to this country and took ownership of his life. He was successful, but no nearly as much as he planned to be. He had a good heart and grat aspirations. People say we look alike. It is an honor. My brother and I started getting close not too long before he passed away and for that I am regretful. But nonetheless I was able to spend time with him and introduce him to my wife and enjoy his and my sister's company.  Laugh, eat, drink. Always with a suit on...my brother, the banker. His daughter is beautiful, and his wife is so, so strong. I miss my brother, but I know he is in a better place.

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner. We are maintaining this site with our own money and time. We try to keep the advertisements to a minimum and we try to make them as unobtrusive as possible. The revenue goes back to maintaining this site.

Thank you for your understanding in these matters.
