This weekend, October 6, 2007, we will be celebrating our 30th high school reunion from The Bronx High School of Science. I did not know you in life, but I remember your death. It has truly been an honor to have gone to high school with you. "Angels' wings take thee to the rest, sweet Prince."

Frank Salvaterra was one of the greatest people I have ever met. No one else knew how I felt more than he did. He understood me, and I miss him so much.

Mr. Salvaterra,

you are missed so much by so many people. I haven't seen gabrielle or isabelle for a while, but I know they love you and miss you more than you could possibly know. rest in peace.

I never knew Frank Salvaterra but we share the same last name. I remember when 9/11 happened and I wounderd if any Salvaterra's were in the twin towers and then I saw his name I knew this has touched my family in a different way. Their was someone from my family involved. Since then I have traveled to NYC and to Ground Zero. I broke down in tears for someone I never knew but we shared the same last name. I would like to know more about this man and his life and family. If there are any other Salvaterra's reading this please contact me at MSALVATE@kent.edu I live in Cleveland Ohio. Thanks and Never Forget!

I got together for dinner with some old high school buddies last night. Frank's name came up. We remember him so fondly.  I remember what a great fan of Aerosmith he was and what fun we had when we went to see Aerosmith and Ted Nugent at Madison Square Garden in the mid 1970s. I took my 15-year old son to see Aerosmith last fall and asked him to say a prayer in Frank's memory before the concert started. Our sympathies will always be with his family. He was a great friend.

My son Andy went to the World Trade Center on Sunday Jan 9 and he thought he saw my name but it was missing the "i" in my name

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner. We are maintaining this site with our own money and time. We try to keep the advertisements to a minimum and we try to make them as unobtrusive as possible. The revenue goes back to maintaining this site.

Thank you for your understanding in these matters.
