You are never forgotten. I think of you with sadness in my heart, but smile when I think of the times we shared working together.

Mrs. Schrang,
We sat with you on your first "big night out" at the Comedy Club (Tropicana) in Atlantic city. We shared only a breath of your grief but knew that we would always think of you and your husband. We hope that you have found many reasons to smile and laugh since then. After these many years you deserve that. We hope that in some small way it matters to you, your family, fire dept family, pets, etc. that to a lot of us it matters, and we don't forget. God bless you all.

After 9/11 I obtained a memorial band that had Gerry's name on it. It was the luck of the draw that his name was sent to me. Today, 9/11/07, that band is still on my wrist as a reminder of all the brave firefighters that answered the call and paid the price. I hope your family is at peace and you know Gerry will be remembered.

To my brother, we miss you as each day goes by. We are so proud of you. Your family loves you. I know you continue to watch over all of us until we are together again. You are truly an American hero. We all must consider the weight of the words HONOR and HERO. THEY ARE WORDS WE RESERVE FOR THOSE WHO MAKE A CONSCIOUS DECISION TO GIVE THEIR ALL. THESE WORDS ARE APPROPRIATE FOR THE MEN AND WOMEN OF NEW YORK CITY WHO WORE THE UNIFORM THAT DAY. GOD BLESS

I am a somewhat distant cousin of Gerard Schrang and I regret never having the chance to know him. I know by the way my family (my father especially) adores him, he is a wonderful man and is saving us all a spot in Heaven.

Post your memorial thoughts:
Share your feelings and memories of grief and
sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories. If you knew this
person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with
us something about his/her life:
- what kind of person he/she was,
- what nice points you remember about him/her,
- what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
- what you two perhaps did together,
- what he/she meant to you,
- or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging
for other people.
This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.
Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner. We are maintaining this site with our own money and time. We try to keep the advertisements to a minimum and we try to make them as unobtrusive as possible. The revenue goes back to maintaining this site.
Thank you for your understanding in these matters.
