Your daughter did you proud with her letter to the President. Now the world knows about you. May you and all the 9/11 angels rest in peace.

It has been nine years and I still miss you every day. You remain the best person I have ever known. I love you.

I think about you a lot and about Matty, too. Not a week goes by without one or both of you in my thoughts, some weeks more than others. I particularly miss having you around as all of these kids grow up. I wish that we both could be witnessing this phase together. Di and the girls are great, as I'm sure you know, given that you are constantly by their side.

Love you, brother!
Tani

It's been eight years, and I still can't believe it. Thank you for always making me laugh and putting a smile on my face. You're always in my heart. Always.

It was a very long time that we worked together. On this sixth anniversary of your passing, I wanted to take the time to honor you and your memory. Glen was always working--always--on the desk, but he took the time to be cordial and friendly and a gentleman. I salute your memory and offer my best to your family.

To the family of Glen Walls, I'm a former U.S. Marine that proudly served our great country From 1981-1985. Words can not express the sorrow I feel for Glenn and his family. He and all victims of 9/11 were as much heroes as any American of any conflict we as a country has ever had. On July 1, 2004 in Sharpsburg, Maryland. The site of "The Battle of Antietam" of the civil war, at the Antietam National Battlefield, Posted was, " The Healing Field Flags" in honor of the heroes of 9/11, also "The Flag of Heroes & Flag of Honor" were created. They were flags flown in honor of every victim of 9/11 .The flags were flown from July 1 - July 4, 2004. The public was honored to be able the buy these flags at the end of the ceremony. Upon receiving a flag, I was asked if I had a certain flag of a hero I wanted. I told them that they were all so special and to just give me one. I received the flag with the name of Glen J. Wall, 38, Rumson, N.J. I thought it was ironic that Glen and I was both the same age at the time of the tragedy with the same marital background with children. The flag I fly every day, in my front yard, is with Glen J. Walls' name on it honoring him and the other heroes of 9/11. God bless all and the families...

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner.
