I didn't know anyone that had lost their lives on this tragic day. I was only 7 years old and really didn't know what was going on. I remember coming from school early ll happy not knowing what was going on. Then my dad came to me and showed me why we were home and what was going on. I didn't know much. but now I am 17 years old, and in the past year or 2 years I've always been online learning more and more about what happened on this day. And after all this time of learning and seeing what happened and understanding it, I've grown a great amount of love for them that lost their lives and the families. If anyone on here is a survivor or a family member of a victim, please feel free to e-mail me. I'd love to hear your stories about your loved ones or the experience it was being inside the building. I don't mean that in a rude way. I just want to learn more and more. Sorry this is so long but my e-mail is stairway2_7 [at] yahoo.com...  may all who lost their lives in the Trade Center, Pentagon, and United 93 on 9/11/2001 be remember and never forgotten and R.I.P

May the recent news bring comfort to your family. I work for your brother, Erik, and his comfort to the family of a co-worker and friend who recently passed away was heartwarming. And he was so understanding after the death of my sister. May God bless your family as we all move on.

Not a day goes by since 9/11 that I do not think of everyone who lost their lives so tragically. I cannot fathom in my soul why ANYONE would ever do such an evil thing. I can only pray that you crossed over painlessly and peacefully. Every day for the rest of my life, I will think of you and those who loved you. May God hold you in his arms lovingly. R.I.P., Gordon.

Today is Tuesday, March 22nd 2011. You were only 32 years old! It's almost ten years later, and the enormity of the number of snuffed out lives still makes me nauseous and makes my chest hurt.... There are SO MANY NAMES HERE! I will never know you, Gordon, but I feel anguish from your death nonetheless. I remember the 9/11 victims almost every day, but you don't realize the huge number of the victims until you are at a website like this: Each memorial plaque with hundreds of names, and then so many memorial plaques.... Every day I would like to show my respects and love to the victims of 9/11 here, maybe five a day, until I've been able to share a comment on every victim's memorial page here. So I've started with you, Gordon. May your soul be at rest, and I wish much peace to your family and loved ones.

You are not forgotten. I am so sorry you had to go in that way. I often think how all of you must have been so scared. Thoughts and prayers to your family.

I have never met you. But in my heart you will forever and always be a hero. I will pray tonight for your family's well-being.

You got the first of over 2,700 miles I will be traveling for all of you who lost your lives that day. I am sorry your mile was on a treadmill at the gym, but it was in memory of you.

Bless you and your family,

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner.
