Rest in Peace Ingeborg, from Netherlands.

Rest in Peace, Honey.

I worked at Regus Business Centre and had the pleasure of attending training classes with Ingeborg in Dec 2000 and May 2001. She was a delight to be around. In May I told her of an upcoming trip that the next month my husband and I were taking to NYC. She was so excited and wanted us to come by and see her centre that she was so proud of. I regret to say we never made it up there. I think a lot about her and our other co-workers who never made it out of there on that fateful day. I will never forget them.

Rust zacht.
Ingeborg, I never met you, but I can't forget you. Sleep well.

I work in Dallas and was working for Regus Business Center on 9/11. When I got to my center, and the buildings were hit, I thought about Ingeborg and the staff at the World Trade. I continued with Regus for 3 more years and kept their picture hanging in my office. It was taken on the observation post of World Trade I. Ingeborg was so proud of her center and her staff. I will never forget them.

Thinking of you today. Hope you are reborn into a better time.

Dear Ingeborg,
Thinking of you today, as I do so often.
I remember how you used to scunch up your nose, give me a straight face, and then laugh at me. I was so young and dumb and you were so amused by it.
I miss your friendship and your wisdom and your worldliness.

Love always.

My dearest Ingeborg,

I keep thinking of you and will never forget the time we spent in Vienna together when we were trying to find the right place for you to stay! And of course all the hours of good conversation. You are in my heart. I keep all the memories I have of you, and still, six years after the tragedy, I sometimes cannot believe that I won't see you again. You are going to remain my guardian angel always. Cape diem, my friend, I love you!

Andreas Binder, if you read this message pls feel free to contact me unde 0664 /114 71 93 Perhaps we could share some thoughts on our beloved Ingeborg.

I have read the Elsevier article. Ingeborg must have been a beautiful and lovely lady, God bless her and her family.

Ingeborg had been my boss at Regus Park Avenue. The clients really liked her, she got the job done, she truly cared about her job and she loved Regus. I heard her on the phone after the 1st plane hit, she called the Park Avenue office to say they were OK and she said she was not leaving until all the clients were safely gone from the floor. I think of her often.

I was at school in London with Ingeborg. I was shocked in 2001 to hear her name on the Dutch television. We were the only Dutch people at Richmond College. I remember her as a charming beautiful woman. I wish her family all the best. I have just read the article in Elsevier about Ingeborg's life. It is sad that she is no longer with us.

Dear Ingeborg, you are always in my thoughts....

I was Ingeborg's roommate at 12 Sloane Gardens in London. We lost touch after she moved to New York. Today is the 5th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. I just happened to have the TV tuned to the reading of the names. I happened to turn up the volume and heard Ingeborg's name. I am in total shock. I had always imagined she had moved on with her life. Married some extremely handsome man, learned a few dozen more languages, moved to a few more exotic places, had some amazingly beautiful children, maybe?
I am in shock. I am in utter disbelief that such a beautiful person is gone. My condolences to her sister and her parents. I heard so much about you all. I cannot believe she is gone.

World Trade Center in New York: 9/11.

In Memory of Ingeborg Astrid Desiree Lariby
Ingeborg Lariby tribute at Legacy.com

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
