I lived in West Des Moines at the time of 9/11 and a friend of mine worked with Jim. I thought of him and his family as I am watching the memorial today. Just thinking of you today and wishing you peace in your hearts.

James (Corky) was my next door neighbor growing up. We had just made contact about three weeks before he died. I heard from Jan that he had died. He has been in my thoughts and prayers ever since. I want his family to know that I am thinking of them.

The Cleeres were our next door neighbors in Hattiesburg MS when we were growing up. Because I was quite a bit older, I did not know "Corky" very well, and I lost touch with him. I was shocked and dismayed when my sister Beverly called to say that Corky was among the casualties of the WTC collapse. My heart goes out to all his family on this tenth anniversary.

Jim Cleere was a wonderful christian man who left behind a wonderful family. May God bless his loved ones as Jim is being blessed in the presence of the Lord!

I was watching a Joyce Meyer sermon on tv and a woman named Mrs. Cleere said her husband died in the 9-11 attacks. I became very curious and used google to find this page. I am grateful that God can and will help people through these kinds of tragedies and heal us if we allow Him to. God bless and heal all families affected by the 9-11 attacks, amen.

Live for God, and in death you shall dwell with God. Didn't know him personally, but God bless him, his family, and all other victims of 9-11.

I live in Tyler, Texas and I was choosen to wear a yellow ribbon bearing the name James D Cleere on Monday September 11, 2006. I am the campus photographer for The University of Texas at Tyler and we have a full day of activities for that day.

As a friend of his children, I always remembered him as a very honest and forthright man. Though he has been lost to us on earth, heaven has gained a great human soul who served God admirably. My prayers go out to the family continually for peace and comfort.

Post your memorial thoughts:
Share your feelings and memories of grief and
sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories. If you knew this
person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with
us something about his/her life:
- what kind of person he/she was,
- what nice points you remember about him/her,
- what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
- what you two perhaps did together,
- what he/she meant to you,
- or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging
for other people.
This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.
Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner. We are maintaining this site with our own money and time. We try to keep the advertisements to a minimum and we try to make them as unobtrusive as possible. The revenue goes back to maintaining this site.
