In his own quiet way, he taught lessons of integrity. Through his remembrances, the lessons continue on.

I did not move to Brighton, Co. until Thanksgining of 2002. I lived near Dallas, Tx at the time of 9/11.
Was so saddened by events of that awful day. Thank God for all the heroes of Flight 93. So many more lives would have been lost had it not been for their heroism.
Just a few hours earlier this evening, I turned on Channel 9 News and learned of the untimely passing of Sandy Dahl. How sad for her family; but yet how wonderful that she is now with her beloved Jason. God be with her loved ones at this time. And once again, THANK YOU heroes, one and all on Flight 93!

Jason, My name is Allison, and I'm a former American Airlines flight attendant. I have thought about you almost every day for the past 9 years. UAL found some of us AA f/a's here in Denver, and asked us to be ushers at your memorial service. To this day, that was the single most difficult day of my life. I had never met you, or your crew members, but felt an unbelievable connection as I too lost friends/family that day. Being part of your memorial service that day is something that I will NEVER forget, and will always hold a very special place in my heart for you and your family.

I never knew Jason Dahl, but I believe he is my cousin on my mother's side. My mother's father's name was John Dahl. If anyone knows whether John Dahl was Jason's uncle, please let me know. I am a firefighter and lost plenty of brothers that day. I have a memorial tattoo for 9-11, and I want to add his name to it. He was just as much a hero as any of my brothers who died that horrible day! My email is chadcd (at) hotmail (dot) com. Thank you, Jason, regardless of our relation.

Jason,

You were the uncle of one of my friends. I will never forget what happened that day. I am so sorry what happened to you, your passengers, and your plane.

I will never forget 9/11, and absolutely never forget the heroic actions of Captain Dahl and co-pilot Homer.

Another 9/11 has come and gone. The sadness of the loss of the crew and passengers of Flight 93 never goes away. I, like so many others, never met them in person, but they have a special place in my heart and always will. God bless their families for their courage to carry on. Freedom is not free; there is a price to pay, and they paid it, in part for us all.

Jason,

You saved a lot of lives. So did the others of Flight 93. I wish I could say, "Thank you," in person, but I only can say it up to you in heaven--not no ordinary heaven: the heaven for heroes like you and all the others! Thank you, Jason, and all the passengers and crew of Flight 93! God bless you and R.I.P. We all miss you--well, anyone who has a heart to care.

9/11/08 soon approaches, and I want to assure you that the sacrifice Jason and all the others on Flight 93 made will not be forgotten by me. Sandy, remain strong as you continue in your journey here, and take strength and courage in the fact that Jason is watching over you. I like to think that every star twinkling in the sky is a loved one who watches out for us.... God bless you.

I pray for you on this seventh anniversary. May God shine his loving face on you, and I pray for your family also.

Hi. My name is Sandy Dahl, the wife of Jason Dahl. My husband is a hero on board United Flight 93. My husband was a hero; he fought back along with the other passengers and crew like in "American Hero." He didn't call. I do believe that that has been showed in the movies based on "Flight 93" is based on early search. I don't believe that Jason was killed in the hijacking, but I do believe that the other people were killed, and that is because there is information about that and that is very plain: My husband Jason is a hero on board the flight that fought back. I love you, Jason. I always will.

I was not fortunate to know Jason personally, but I am an ATP rated helicopter pilot in Tulsa Oklahoma.. And I honor this man for giving his life in this horrid act of terrorism..  I sob tremendously when I see photos of this event  or when I think of how his family must be lost without him...  I just want to say thank you to Jason Dahl, and may the Lord be with his wonderful family, whom I am sure misses him deeply..  Jason, you are a true hero to me and you will always have a place in my heart for your act of heroism...  May you be with the Lord always....  God Bless you and your family...

Jason,

Matt loved flying with you. The only Captain he ever truly thought of as a friend. I'm still so sad that he continues to fly wihout you. Know that we miss you and think of you often. Your spirit flies with your friends, family, and those who remember you.

I have tried to avoid the day so far, as I get so sad. When I thought of Jason, I could no longer. We are friends with his cousin Steve here in CA.... So for this reason I post today in Rememberance of Jason whom I did not know, but with prayers for his family, one of which we do know.

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site.
