I did not know you, but was given your name as part of a 9/11 prayer and remembrance at my church her in Downey, California. I was deeply impacted by having a name to attach to this terrible tragedy. I will continue to pray for you and those who survived you especially your children. May your family find peace and comfort.

Jayesh was a friend of mine when we were teenagers. His family moved into our neighborhood in Racine, Wisconsin. Jayesh and I played ping-pong almost everyday; I rarely beat that guy! His wicked drop serve is etched in my mind. His parents and Niloy were respected people who became accepted into our group of friends. If any family members want to contact me I would be happy to share more memories I have of Jayesh. God Bless..............josh

Dear Jay,
I think about you and Niloy often but especially today. I was in Racine this summer and sat in the field where we spent so many summer days playing baseball. Those were some of the best days of my life. I know you watched from above as the PACKERS won the Superbowl and I am so happy to tell you our beloved BREWERS are in 1st place! I will never forget you my friend; R.I.P.

Around the tenth anniversary of 9/11, in 2011, the American Legion, Edgewater, NJ, wishes to honor the memories of each Edgewater resident who died in the terrorist attacks. WTC steel will be installed in our Veterans' Park along the Hudson River. We will also ascertain any financial needs of the members of their families to provide any financial assistance that they may need or they may choose to donate to a charity of their choosing. We will be asking for donations that will go into an account controlled by selected members of their respective families as part of a non-profit corporation entitled, "Edgewater, NJ Remembers."
We will also be honoring our first responders and residents who were intimately involved with that tragic day. I have not been able to reach the next-of-kin of Anne to determine if this is an acceptable activity for them. We will provide any expenses they need to participate in the event(s). They will have veto power over any activity that we try to organize related to this event. I need to have chosen next-of-kin to contact me with their concerns.
I hope that this is not a misuse of this site. If anyone is offended please accept my deepest apologies. As the Council President and Resident of the Borough of Edgewater, this project is very, very important me. I hope that someone out there will reach out to me and advise me of the proper way to make contact. 201.982.3155

In the short time I knew Jay, he was a man of his word, kind, and so wrapped up in his family and his job! He was
reaching for the stars and they were so close to his grasp!
Jay will be missed as a shining star in our horizon now.

Post your memorial thoughts:
Share your feelings and memories of grief and
sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories. If you knew this
person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with
us something about his/her life:
- what kind of person he/she was,
- what nice points you remember about him/her,
- what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
- what you two perhaps did together,
- what he/she meant to you,
- or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging
for other people.
This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.
Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner. We are maintaining this site with our own money and time. We try to keep the advertisements to a minimum and we try to make them as unobtrusive as possible. The revenue goes back to maintaining this site.
Thank you for your understanding in these matters.
