In 2002, I worked for Geico in Fredericksburg, VA at the time marking the first anniversary of 9/11. On that anniversary day, as we came in to work and walked through the turnstiles, we were each given a name of someone who had died due to the attack. I will never forget the name I received on that small piece of paper. It was Jeffrey Fox, a husband and father from Cranbury, NJ.
I hope his family is doing well, I think about him every year at this time.

I worked briefly with Jeff at First Union following their acquisition of our firm in Richmond. I never met his family, but think how tragic this event must have been for them. At the 10 year anniversary, my thoughts and prayers are with you again. May God bless you all.

I enjoyed being part of your life- it was great having you as a neighbor. We shared the love of music and family. We even tried to form a band in our basements- I still have a cassette of us playing Bad Moon Rising.I am blessed to know that you were my friend. You will be greatly missed.

I think a lot about Jeff. We were great friends in high school. In fact, we would joke about each other's "incredibility". He was all that and more. Jeff was a great musician, writer, and always had a quick sense of humor. I am honored to remember him as my friend. Thanks for the smiles and the laughs.

Jeff loved being a husband and father.
Nancy, Jeff loved you, Jessica, Amanda and Gregory so very much. You all completed his life.
He was our diamond in the rough. Jeff never had a bad word to say about anyone, always so happy and good hearted. We thank God for the chance to know Jeff.
It's hard to understand why God takes some of us home, then leaves the rest of us behind, but Jeff must have been very special in His eyes to call him home so soon.
May he rest in peace.

I never had the pleasure of meeting this young man but I have the honor of knowing his father. If this young man was anything like his father and as pleasant as his mother than I'm sure I would of met a man who was kind, gentle, compassionate, well mannered and a person who was well thought of. My heart goes out to all.

Jeffrey Fox was my second cousin. Our family moved to the midwest in 1969 and we lost touch with our east coast branch. My mother and Jeffrey's mother were cousins (their fathers were brothers) and close childhood friends. My mother remembers talking to Eleanor about names when they were both pregnant, my mother with my older brother and Eleanor with Jeffrey. My mother shared that Jeffrey was named after her Uncle Fischel who died in the Holocaust.
I wish I had known him, and I am reassured that he had so many people who loved him.

Not a day goes by that I don't miss my kid brother. Family was everything to him and he was everything to his family. Save me a spot little brother - we have a lot to catch up on.

Post your memorial thoughts:
Share your feelings and memories of grief and
sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories. If you knew this
person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with
us something about his/her life:
- what kind of person he/she was,
- what nice points you remember about him/her,
- what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
- what you two perhaps did together,
- what he/she meant to you,
- or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging
for other people.
This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.
Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner.
