I know I do not need to post anything here for you to know how often I think of you. You are my dearest friend and I think of you every day. A part of my heart is still with you. I wish you had met my girls. You would be so close to them. I miss our Friday nights hanging out at my house and just laughing. You are such a special part of me and I love you more than words can express. Love, Cara

10th Anniversary Weekend is here... and Jill I never stop thinking of you! Jill was my co-worker at Plaza. Jill, Danielle and I shared some great laughs together... The one that I remember most was singing to both of them through the intercom! Boy do I wish I could go back to those fun working days! You are missed and loved always and forever.... xoxo

I remember I was so moved far away in Barcelona, Spain from everything that was going on in New York that on sept. 12. I started to search stories from survivors and some lady posted something about how bad she felt leaving her coworkers behind, just like frozen looking over at the first tower that was struck. But she felt she had to leave. And one of those coworkers was Jill. I will always remember her name, Jill Metzler. On every anniversary, I say a prayer for this girl I never knew. May you rest in peace.

I have never known you, but I have been doing research about the victims of 9-11, and I feel the love that people have given you, and I hope your name will live forever.

I worked with Jill right before she quit to go to a new job at AON. Once we all went out to that place where female bartenders dance on the bar. Jill got up and joined them and danced like crazy. She was full of energy. I went to her memorial service, and her family graciously hugged me, even though I was just a crying stranger. Thank you to them for that. My heart goes out to her wonderful family.

I didn't know this person, but I feel grief for all who died that day, especially for those who were on Flight 93. My heart goes out to all who lost loved ones on that day. GOD bless you all.

Jill and I were great friends in high school. We always got into a lot of trouble together. When I think of high school, I think of Jill. She was beautiful, fun, caring, sweet, and I loved her. We lost touch after college, which I really regret. I missed the reunion because I think it would have been too tough--I should have gone. I think of Jill all the time.

Well, I did it; I made it downtown today. Shayne and I stood across the street in the Winter Garden looking out the window. How fitting-–you and I went to a dinner there once and got into trouble, as we did best when we were out together. I have a picture of you in my office and think of you all the time. They say time heals all wounds, which is true, but the missing you gets stronger every day. I miss and love you so much--that, my friend, will never fade.

We had our 20th high school reunion this past week, and Jill was talked about, loved, and missed. I spoke to you infrequently in high school, but I always thought you were a beautiful girl. Now that I read everyone else's comments, I can see you were beautiful inside, too.

I didn't know Jill well in high school. I do remember her sweet smile :-) Tonight was the 20th high school reunion for the Class of '87, and I just wanted her family to know that we were thinking about Jill tonight. May God bless her family and loved ones.

I remember Jill even more so when this time comes around again.
Your family never met me, but I own a store in penn station and you came in every morning for breakfast. Always so happy always so sweet and always so kind.... I write something about you every year at this time because I want your family to know so many peoples lives you touch that they didn't even know..... I pray and remember you all the time

I will always remember the day Jill was born. I was her sister's best friend and she was the sweetest baby who turned into a beautiful, loving sister, daughter, aunt and friend. It's been over 5 years, but I still remember you in my prayers.

Jill was an amazing person. At first sight, she was beautiful, but on top of that, she was so nice to everyone she met, fun loving, happy, smart, and full of life. She and I worked side-by-side for three years, and she became one of my best friends - truly a friend you can tell anything to. I miss her every single day. Jill, always looked her best, always smiled, always laughed, and lived more than most people do in a full life time.

Post your memorial thoughts:
Share your feelings and memories of grief and
sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories. If you knew this
person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with
us something about his/her life:
- what kind of person he/she was,
- what nice points you remember about him/her,
- what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
- what you two perhaps did together,
- what he/she meant to you,
- or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging
for other people.
This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.
Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
