ΓΕΙΑ ΣΟΥ ΙΩΑΝΝΑ ΜΟΥ ΟΠΟΥ ΚΑΙ ΝΑ ΕΙΣΑΙ ΤΩΡΑ! Joanne, you don't know me, but as a fellow Greek, I feel very upset for that.... I feel that I lost someone from my family, someone that is very close to me. You and all the other people who lost their lives in this tragedy will be forever in my heart. God bless you! I will always remember your beautiful smile that stopped shining on 11 SEPTEMBER 2001!
With Love,
Eleftheria from Greece!

Joanne was a very strong and willing woman. She gave her all, and for nothing. She left behind a wonderful son and a loving family. May Joanne Ahladiotis rest in peace!

Joanne will be in my thoughts when I run the New York City Marathon this year in Nov. 2008 with my two American flags. (I always run with the flags.) This will be my 107th marathon and 18th New York City Marathon. On the back of my shirt it reads: "Dedicated to the Servicemen and Servicewomen who died for us and 9/11." (I've had the same saying for many of my marathons. I dedicate the marathon to several people who died in 9/11 every year.) It is indeed a tragedy that anyone lost their life in such a horrible way. I visited Greece only once in my life in 1999. It is good that she got to see her grandmother. God bless America, and God bless Joanne Ahladiotis. You have a terrific smile, Joanne, on the outside, and it radiated inside your heart and throughout you. May God be with you in Heaven.

Joanne,
Sadly, I never knew you, and that makes my life sadder for it! It's so hard to understand why a person so wonderful as yourself departed at such a young age. It broke my heart to see your picture on the victims list. It's just not fair. I want you to know I wear a bracelet with your name on it every day. It reminds me of you and tells me to be a better person. My friends have said to me I am no longer moody, being very caring to others and a joy to be around. Naturally, I don't tell them why this has occurred, but it's all down to you, and I just wish I could thank you in person. Every Sunday when I go to church, I light a candle for you. So please remember that there is someone in England thinking about you. I plan to do the New York marathon this year (2008). I will do it in memory of you and your beautiful family and your cousin you were so close to; it must really be bad for her. I've never been to New York, or indeed America, so I am really nervous. Not knowing anyone will be a problem. I do feel, however, I owe so much to you; this is the least I can do. Grazie per tutto, Joanne.

Hello. I am in high school, and I lived in New York City until 4 years ago, when I moved year to Florida, and I remember when I was in elementary school, and I heard what happened only 30 minutes away from where I lived. But I got really nervous because my father was supposed to be there that day, but instead he went to downtown New York and worked, so I was so happy that my daddy was okay. But I started to cry when I heard about what happened to the twin towers and to all the people inside and around them. But I hope you rest in peace, and I am so sorry about what has happened, and I'd seen something about you in this book, so I knew right away that I wanted to do my project on you because you reminded me so much of my cousin. But I give my prayers out to your family and friends for being so very strong. And God bless you.

Hi. I'm in a middle school, and I am doing my report on this victim and how the family is coping now 6 years later. She seems like a nice lady. It is really sad the way she had to leave, and I am sorry for the family.

Joanne, Today is your 5th year anniversary in heaven. I know that you are in Heaven and an angel and you are watching over your family. I just want you to know that you and all the other victims will never be forgotten. We must never forget this day and we all must be somber but also hopeful for the next generation. May your memory always be eternal. A fellow Greek american New Yorker

Joanne was one of the sweetest people i've ever met. You could always count on her to lighten up a room and have a big smile on her face. It was impossible not to love her. Wherever she may be she is it is a better place because she is there. My heart goes out to her family. God Bless!

Post your memorial thoughts:
Share your feelings and memories of grief and
sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories. If you knew this
person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with
us something about his/her life:
what kind of person he/she was,
what nice points you remember about him/her,
what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
what you two perhaps did together,
what he/she meant to you,
or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging
for other people.
This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.
Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

This web site is affiliated with 24K Gold Music Shows - an oldies music showband performing in Central Florida. The members of the showband feel strongly that there were many heroes manifested during the onslaught of terror associated with 9-11, and present this site as a memorial to those whose lives were lost, and the loved ones they left behind.
24K Gold Music Shows perform primarily 50-60s Oldies, Elvis songs, DooWop, and older country music, as well as patriotic songs. All of the musicians, singers, dancers, and staff of the 24K Gold Music Shows extend their deepest sympathies to every one who lost loved ones on that terrible day.
24K Gold Music Shows performs an original song called "The Day America Cried", which is a 9-11 tribute song. In the live shows, they honor with the song not only the heroes of 9-11 but also those who are still alive: the police personnel, firefighters, emergency personnel, soldiers, and others who have served our country and kept us all safe.
Listen also to this beautiful, touching song "Love Can Build a Bridge" by 24K Gold Music Shows. Even though strictly speaking it's not a 9-11 memorial song, I still feel it is a very fitting song for the occasion!
