A friend gave me a wrist band from www.mercyband.org with "John E. Eichler WTC" engraved. I wear it in memoriam. WE WILL NOT FORGET.

I was in Cedar Grove, New Jersey on May 31, 2011. Being early for work and after getting off the bus, I came apon Memorials on the lawn of the Firehouse. There, I found two Clear Plastic objects, what one might think depicted the Twin Towers in minature.
One tower mentioned Norman Rossinow and the other John Eichler. I copied down their names. Today I searched John Eichler at ancestry.com. So one might say, that in this way, I am not able to actual recall the good that John did for others. True, but this website and my family tree of John Ernst Eichler remembers him.

Peg Eichler passed away last year. She and her beloved Jack are together forever. Their marriage was as special as she and Jack were — they could not have stayed apart for long.

All these years later I can still see Jack Eichler walking through the halls of Cadwalader, coffee mug in hand. He was a kind, decent human being. A real gentleman. The world needs more like him.

Stopping by again to honor Mr. Eichler's memory and to let his family know that he is remembered so fondly by everyone here at Cadwalader who worked with him. Mr. Eichler is still in my prayers, and I hope that his wife and family are doing well.

I am writing this from Glasgow, Scotland, and unfortunately I never met Jack Gentle. However, due to the connection with our surname, we, the Gentle family in Scotland, New Zealand, Australia, and England, amongst other countries to which family members have emigrated to, we would like to send our deepest sympathies to Jack's family and all those who suffered a loss that day.

I do not know if we are related, as there is very few of us with the Gentle name who are not related to each other, Gentles (plural) seems to be more popular. Here's to hoping that maybe sometime we can piece together our family history, as a lot of Scots emigrated to both Canada and America. Wouldn't this be an amazing legacy for Jack's memory if we were to be related.

All of Scotland sends our deepest sympathies, and although it is almost 9 years now since that fateful day, we still remember and think of it as though it were yesterday.

Glasgow has a statue of a fireman, which was built to commemorate the bravery of all you firemen and women who put your lives on the line that day. Thanks to all the emergency services so much. Thank you from Scotland and from the bottom of our hearts.

P.S. I wish Jack's wife a bright and happy future, just as I'm sure he would have wanted it. After all, he is a Gentle and made of strong stuff, like a good Scottish whiskey!

I always remember Mr. Eichler as a "gentleman and a scholar." He always had a beautiful smile. May he rest in peace, and I hope that God continues to give his family comfort.

Even after all these years, I still refer to Jack in conversations and remember his concern for others, his unique sense of humor, and his warm smile.

Jack made Cadwalader a special place to work. He trusted me and taught me, and for that I am forever grateful. I pray that Peg and the rest of the family are doing well.

I work at Cadwalader and remember Jack Eichler to be a warm, kind, and friendly person who always greeted you with a smile, a fine gentleman in all respects. His presence will not be forgotten, and he will always be remembered in my prayers.

I remember a warm and friendly Mr. Eicher. I still have the small carved wooden teddy bear with the red heart that he gave to each of the girls in Administration. He was also very generous. May God bless and continue to provide comfort his beautiful family.

I will always remember a warm Mr. Eichler. I still have the carved wooden teddy bear he gave to each of us in Administration one year for Valentine's Day!

I read Mr. Eichler's son's comments about how his son Jack still remembers his "Papa Jackie," and I am so touched. I became a grandmother three years after 9/11, and I now understand the special bond between grandparent and grandchild. I'm sorry that Mr. Eichler did not have time to create more memories with his grandson.

I have worked at Cadwalder for 35 years, and Jack was the most caring, sweetest, and fairest man that I have come across both here and in my lifetime. He was a good man and always handled matters ethically and professionally. I think of him often and hope that his family is fairing well.

One cannot forget Jack: Mischievous smile, intelligent and understanding eyes, generous and kind ... a gentle man, a gentle soul.

9/18/07... another visit to let Mr. Eichler's family know that we are still remembering him and the twinkle in his eyes.

In memory of an incredible mentor and teacher. Jack Eichler was one of a kind and his presence among us is missed.

I am employed at Cadwalader, I remember Mr. Eichler so well, he was a Great Administrator, he had a wonderful calm about him, he was always smiling and pleasant, and will be remembered in my prayers always.
