Вечная память...

[Ed. - Eternal remembrance.]

I saw the documentary, "Falling Man," today on YouTube, quite by accident, but could not turn away as the image of "Falling Man" always stayed with me. I thank the editors, photographer, and humanists in the media for making me more human by deciding the truth of the image was for all of us. To Jonathan's family: My deepest admiration, for I believe that the significant heart and minds there who responded for all of us, unselfishly, knowing not only their grief, but the value of how an image connects our humanity represent one of the finest values we can find from that day. Now I know more of him and more of others. Thank you for sharing.

Jonathan ... que el Padre Celestial te tenga en su gloria ...

My thoughts are with you and your family, Jonathan, and with all those innocent and brave souls who were taken before their time on that never-forgettable day. I just watched the documentary and think that his brave actions on that day are a tribute to his faith. god was with him, and now he is with god.

god bless you and your family

You touched my life by the footage I saw of you, and now you are resting in God's hands. God bless the Briley Family, and rest in peace, Jonathan. I hope to meet you in heaven someday.

Dear Jonathan:

I dreamed about you, Jonathan. In my dreams, I saw you and others on that horrible day the Twin Towers fell. Jonathan, I believe you fell into the arms of Jesus. God bless you and your memory. My prayers and thoughts go to your family and friends. Death is swallowed up in victory because of Christ. We won't ever forget you, Jonathan!

Que DEUS abençôe a familia do Jonathan e que com certeza neste momento ele eatá ao lado do nosso pai celestial. Amém.

[Ed. - May God bless Jonathan's family. Certainly at this very moment he's at the side of our celestial Father.]

Jonathan, I cannot believe it's been seven years since you fell from those burning towers into God's loving arms. Although I did not have the fortune of knowing you in your time here on earth, you have touched my life very deeply. I look forward to the day I can finally meet your bright spirit in heaven.  God bless the Briley family on this day of sorrowful remembrance, and every day going forward.

Dear Jonathan! Our souls have connected in a very beautiful way. Almighty God has brought us together. It is hard to believe that it has been seven years since that dark day of sorrow. I first met you through the "Falling Man" video. I ran across another picture of you and we could actually pass for brothers or cousins AND we share the same birthday. I am the organist at my church and in a concert I performed in a couple of months ago, I dedicated a very special selection to your memory. I will continue to remember and pray for you while I'm still here on earth traveling this journey. Please pray for me from your place in Heaven, and I look forward to meeting you in eternity.

R.I.P., Jonathan. You will always be in my prayers.

R.I.P., and may God bless you and bring solace and peace to your loved ones.

Many still mourn, many still weep,
For those that they love who have fallen asleep,
But we have this hope though our hearts may still ache,
Just one shout from above and they all will awake,
And in the reunion the joy we will see,
Death will be swallowed in sweet victory.

God bless you, Jonathan, and may the comfort of Christ be with your family.

Sincerely, your sister in Christ,
Anna

God Bless you, Jonathan Briley. May you rest in peace, "falling man." Who of us could never hopefully imagine what you went through on that horrible day? May you rest in peace, Jonathan Briley.

I believe that you were received into God's arms as an angel that day. May you and your family take comfort in knowing that. God bless you and your family.

I am convinced that if Jonathan was the "falling man," I'm sure the hand of God whisked him away to his new heavenly home. God bless all the victims of that terrible day!

Jonathan, bless your soul.

I watched the documentary also in my home in Ireland. Jonathan seemed to really enjoy life! Embraced it to its max! As I watched the documentary, there was one part that really touched me, and it was how the head chief said how he would miss him and that he had wanted Jonathan to be his friend for life. That showed you how great a guy Jonathan must have been to have touched the chief in that way! I would have loved to have known you myself, Jonathan, wherever you are. =)

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
