Dad,
I will always love you. You are always with me in my heart. You died when I was only six months old :(, but my mom always tells me stories about you. She also calls me your clone, but in girl version. I love you so much, and I always will!

Joe, I hope that you were reunited with your Dad, Grandma and Grandpa. They all loved you so much. You lost your dad too soon and your grandmother too soon and your grandfather lost you too soon. But now that my time is up with Grandpa I hope that it is your time with him. He loved you so much and he was truly devastated the day he lost you. I really hope you are all together now and forever. We love you and you were taken from us way too early in life. MISS YOU

Hi honey! There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of you. I know so many people say it, but you know I mean it. For instance, all the times I dragged you out with my friends.
The time I asked you what side of the bread to put the butter on while I was making grilled cheese. Every time I make grilled cheese for your nieces, I say to them, "Did I ever tell you ...," and they say, "Yes, Mom. A million times."
I remember when you and Pat were supposed to help Tara with her Kindergarten project, but told me to get lost because the two of you were taking over. It did come out pretty good though, and Tara bragged about her Dad and Uncle Joe.
How about the time you and Pat took Taylor and Joey's Minnie and Mickey on roller blades and decided to race it down the foyer in the house on Birchwood, calling each other names I won't repeat in print.... All while Joey and Taylor screamed, "Dad, give us our toys back!" And you and Pat replied, "Yeah, in a minute," never breaking stride.
How about the all-so-famous me calling Rose to tell her you forgot your suit at my house, and she said "WHO IS THIS?" ... a few months later you were engaged.
How about the first time I introduced you to Pat. You told Rose, "I am going to meet my sister's fiance tonight...." And she said, "Don't you already know him?" And you said, "You don't know my sister." You made Pat take the first bite of dinner (afraid for your own life) before you tempted fate. The two of you played remote cars for hours and parted forever friends.
How about the first Xmas, I introduced you to Pat ... the family gave him a 6-pack of hoop earrings.
As you can see, Joe, there are so many memories so near and dear to my heart. You live in my soul and always will! So many people say they will never forget but move on with their lives, anyway. (I guess that's what they have to do.) But I have never been able to let go. I know you would tell me it's time, but I just can't. You were a huge part of my life and still are.
The pain of losing you will never die. Everyone tells me to get over it. Putting you aside is not an option. I love you, Joe ... now, then, and always! I promise you one thing: Your spirit will always live inside me ... forever!
Your sister,
Sherry

I knew Joe for a couple of years in the late 80's - we rode freestyle bikes together. He worked at Westwood cycles. We went on a college visit in his CRX. He stayed at each other's parents' houses a few times. Honestly, he was such a good guy, really funny, generous, caring and friendly. I remember him and his death is a terrible loss to the world. R.I.P. buddy.

I often wonder why things turned out as they did. I miss you, and thoughts of that day will haunt me forever. Prayerfully you are at peace. You are a true HERO.

Wow. It has been 6 years today, and I think of you every day. You would be so very proud of your children. I miss you, and I miss all the talks we used to have. They were so much fun.
Love you,

Joe I will always keep you present! You gave me the opportunity for a new career at the Marriott, even when I was not qualified because of my language barrier at that time. But you believed in me and knew I was not going to let you down. I know that you are loved wherever you are.

Post your memorial thoughts:
Share your feelings and memories of grief and
sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories. If you knew this
person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with
us something about his/her life:
- what kind of person he/she was,
- what nice points you remember about him/her,
- what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
- what you two perhaps did together,
- what he/she meant to you,
- or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging
for other people.
This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.
Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner.
