To dad:

It was hard for me on Fathers' Day. We put flowers by the side of your grave and a flag. The flag says, "Dad is number one!" I love you a lot.

From Cathryn

Here I am again... Joe's long lost cousin... Kathi Renison Holt, in Kansas City - thinking of Joe today - 9/11 - my thoughts and prayers are still with all of you - I wear my flag pin today in honor of Joe - I can only imagine how terribly sad this day is for each and every one of you - know that Joe is shining his light and love down on all of you - I hope you always remember the wonderful times....
Love to all,
Kathi

Around this time of year I think about the cousin I had not seen since I was little--Joe. His mom, Anne Marie, and my mom, Peggy Evans Renison, were first cousins. I am so sorry that Joe and I had not seen each other for so many years. I am so sorry for Anne Marie and Jim. I am sooooo sorry for Joe's wife and children. I wish them brighter days. I am happy to see his daughter, Cathryn, has a 'guy'--I would love to hear from you, Cathryn, or anyone in your family. We ARE family--long distance, but family. I grew up in Connecticut and am now in Kansas City (a long story). My email is kathirenison (at) gmail (dot) com. As for my sons, Alex, 28, is in NYC, and Nich, 21, is in Lawrence, Kansas. You all are always in my thoughts and prayers. Blessings to you all, especially at this the hardest time of the year....

Love,
Kathi

He was a lawyer in New York. He is my father figure and beloved husband to Thressann Lostrangio. He is a father to his kids Cathryin Lostrangio and Joseph James Michael Lostrangio and for Nichole. Cathryin is my soon-to-be wife to me, and he is a great father to the family, and he is very special to me. May he rest in peace. May he be honored once again.

He was a father to my close friend and a husband to her mom, and he was also a lawyer in New York. He was a beloved husband to Tressann Lostrangio and a father to his kids Cathryin and Joseph Michael Lostrangio. He was very close to the family. He got to meet Bill, Cathryin's soon-to-be husband, and a strong father figure to me very close. He is a great hero and the best father and husband ever. May he rest in peace. May he be honored once again.

Joseph is very special to me, and everything that we do for each other we have something common. We share everything. We have a lot of moments with being with each other, and we have a lot to be together. I remember the day we met, and he meant a lot to me. We are very close, and I will always trust him and my friends Cathryn meant a lot to me.

Joseph is a nice guy. He is special to the family. I have had a special bond with him. We are very close. We have a lot in common. We watch sports together. He meant a lot to me. He is lucky that he is daughter because I don't wanna lose her. I am very serious with Cathryn. We dated over 14 years. This is our 15th anniversary coming up. I am very glad that you made my life worth living. I will never hurt Cathryn; she is my everything, my heart, my soul, the air I breathe in. She is very special to me and to you.

My father is very special to me and to my mom and my brother and Bill and Nichole, and he is very close to my heart, and I loved him with all my heart. We will all miss him, and Willie loved him, too. He is very special to our family, and because I loved him so very much, we loved him so very much, and we will all be here when he needs us. I loved him dearly, and he is great father and a gentleman.

He was a great guy. We all love him and we had a lot in common. He is the best father in Cathryn's family and he is very special to all of us. We look alike and Joseph is great guy. Cathryn is lucky to have a father like him. I pray every night, I cry every day in school and we all and I love you and Cathryn. We have very serious deep feelings for each other and she is very smart and she is a great daughter to you. I will always love her the way you do.

Well, he is a nice guy. he worked with my dad. I was close to him like I was with my dad. he is very special and a caring dad.

As a friend growing up in high school and college, Joe always exhibited a keen intellectual ability and a rapid sense of humor. A number of individuals who knew him at Bishop Reilly High School, Queensborough CC and Queens College recall him with fondness.  His integrity and wit were factors that brought his friends together.

I am saddened that his family has been denied his presence.

I am trying to find out if this is the same Joseph Lostrangio that I grew up with in the 1960's in Bayside (Queens) New York.  Thanks, Steve  stever@infionline.net

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner.

This web site is affiliated with 24K Gold Music Shows - an oldies music showband performing in Central Florida. The members of the showband feel strongly that there were many heroes manifested during the onslaught of terror associated with 9-11, and present this site as a memorial to those whose lives were lost, and the loved ones they left behind.

24K Gold Music Shows perform primarily 50-60s Oldies, Elvis songs, DooWop, and older country music, as well as patriotic songs. All of the musicians, singers, dancers, and staff of the 24K Gold Music Shows extend their deepest sympathies to every one who lost loved ones on that terrible day.

24K Gold Music Shows performs an original song called "The Day America Cried", which is a 9-11 tribute song. In the live shows, they honor with the song not only the heroes of 9-11 but also those who are still alive: the police personnel, firefighters, emergency personnel, soldiers, and others who have served our country and kept us all safe.

Listen also to this beautiful, touching song "Love Can Build a Bridge" by 24K Gold Music Shows. Even though strictly speaking it's not a 9-11 memorial song, I still feel it is a very fitting song for the occasion!
