For the Sept. 11th 10 year anniversary there was a Memorial set up in st. Louis where a American flag was erected for each of the victims of 9/11. After the anniversary was over the organizer of the memorial gave away the flags for a donation to help wounded US Marines. My Cub Scout Pack was looking for a American flag for our meetings and we donated and obtained one of the flags from the memorial. The flag we receieved was dedicated Juan. Tonight we will dedicate our first meeting to Juan and the flag will help our scouts and all future scouts remember the the attacks and especially Juan.

What many, many lessons you taught in your short number of years; and perhaps the greatest was the tragedy of your death on 9/11 that we still stop and catch our breath in sudden sorrow as we remember. Juan, you are remembered as a remarkably good person. I like to think of you as a teacher who inspired so many to reach higher than they thought possible; just as you did. In the last moments of your life, I see you at peace, in prayer, and a comfort to those with you God bless you and your family.

I knew Juan in college. He was one of the first people I met. He was a kind and funny guy. Every year this time I think of him. You may be gone but you are never forgotten.

We met at Anytown in high school. I will always remember his warm, friendly and sweet smile as well as his wonderful hugs. He was a true friend who cared about everyone around him. Juan, you are still missed.

It has been ten years now since 9/11 tragic event and we will always remember my cousin Pablo Juan Cisneros. Even since I known you, you have always been my greatest role model to me. You were the first of my family to graduate a university and have always been an example for me.You were a positive person who always had a positive outlook in life and held high morals. You example has lead me to pursue my dreams and follow in your footsteps. One memory I will always remember is when I was the age of ten and spend a week with you and never wanted to leave, it was a great experience that I will never forget.

I was a friend of Juan from college. He was such a great guy, a kind soul. I remember many laughs and good times shared while studying together in Madrid. Remembering Juan, 10 years later.

You popped into my head today, thinking of you.

Juan - May you and your family rest in peace.
I am a teacher at Orange Glen High School where Juan was an outstanding student and a lover of life and people. He wanted to be a Dr. and help the world but his life was cut short by evil and hatred, something Juan knew little of.
May God Bless you Juan - you are in our hearts.

Thinking of you today, Juan. (Juan and I were in student government together at OGHS, and I was lucky enough to be his homecoming date his senior year. He was such a gentleman. Such a kind spirit, giving, funny, such a remarkable person). He's certainly missed.

I always told Juan he was going to be President one day and I'm confident he would've been. He had the most incredible twinkle in his eyes- unmatchable, the kind you only read about. So smart, funny, kind, honest person ever. He was the only one who showed up to JSA to debate me and Em all those times when everybody quit because Em and I were course and ripped it up. Juan was always there to show the other side. Juan and I had many classes together and his humor and intelligence never ever failed to make the darkest days brighter. I think of him often, of what we all lost, especially his family. Love you Juan.

I was a year behind Juan in high school, and I remember him training me for student government. Everyone knew who he was strictly for his involvement in about every single activity possible and for just being THE nicest guy! The world is made less beautiful when it loses a soul such as his. I am glad we can all remember him so fondly and that his loved ones know his memory will ALWAYS live on.

Although I didn't know him, I will pray for his family. R. I. P.

I was in the AVID program through all 4 years of High School with Juan.  Although we weren't close friends, I spent enough time with him to really respect him, which couldn't be said for most of my classmates.  Juan was always nice, never arrogant.  He was intelligent and helpful, and you could tell that he was determined to make something out of his life, which he did!

I had known Juan since I was 13 years old.  We went to middle school and high school together in Escondido, CA.  We knew each other fom playing basketball.  He loved that game, we would play before school and during lunchtime at Hidden Valley.
Juan was one of the most genuine people that I have ever met.  At Orange Glen (high school) he was one of the nicest people around- if you've ever been to high school, you know that's not the norm.  I remember he won the "Star Class '95" scholarship at our school, which was given to the student who not only excelled in studies, but also took part in school functions and was basically a model student and person.
Juan was a do-er, a person who not only did the best for himself, but helped those around him to achieve.  To this day, I remember Juan for who he was and for who he will always be.  A person who was always helpful, never selfish.  A person who was kind-hearted, not self-serving.  A person who was intelligent, but not patronizing or condescending.  But above all else, a person that could- and would - be everyone's friend.
And I was blessed to know somebody like Juan Cisneros.

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
