I have never met you before, but you struck a cord in my heart. I was reading about September 11, 2001 today and I found you.
My daughter is just about to be four years old in a few months, and ever since I heard your name, when I look at her I think of you. Yesterday I held my daughter a little tighter, and I will everyday now thinking of you.
Never forgotten.

You would be fourteen now. Rest in peace angel and your mother, Ruth. I will never forget you, Julianna.

I will never forget the photograph of the beautiful Mother and
daughter killed so needlessly and of her heartbroken family in
Cork. Jesus and Mary bless you!

I have always remembered the story of this little girl traveling to Disneyland with her Mom. This story touched me so deeply that now 10 years later, I have not forgotten your young soul. I think of you often.

May your soul rest in peace, Juliana. Taken too soon in such a tragic way, your memory will always live on.

I have thought about this family each and everyday for the past 10 years. I remember seeing the husband/father on a show after the horrible attacks. Nothing has ever broken my heart more. I am so sorry for his loss. My heart breaks for him and hope that he has found some sort of peace through the past 10 years. I will continue to pray for him! God bless you!

I went to the WTC memorial museum in May 2011. I bought an ID bracelet and decided not to open and wear it until today, 9-11-11. I got your name Juliana and now I know your story. My little girl will be 4 next week, so your story is even more special to me.

I actually knew this little girl, we used to play together at the park, in New London. Where I used to live. Rest In Peace Juliana. And her mom.

When I read about Juliana and her mother Ruth being on Flight 175,I just imagined the excitement of going off to Disneyland and the terrible end to the anticipated joy of their trip. Juliana became, for me, the symbol of that tragic day and I have thought of her and her mother often, especially today on the 10th anniversary of 9/11. I send my thoughts to her father and hope he is doing well. Juliana, I never knew you but you are in my heart always.

I am not sure if her dad will read this, but I want you to know that I remember Juliana and her mom all the time. I first heard their name and their story on September 2001. I have never forgotten their names or their faces and I think of them often. I pray for you and your family. May god bless you...

After 9-11 I ordered a bracelet that was meant to be worn to remember and pray for an individual person/ their family who was a victim of the attack. I ordered a bracelet without specifying whom it would be. My bracelet has the sweet innocent name of Julianna Valentine McCort. I have prayed for you, your mother, and all of your family since you were taken away. My prayers are for your family and I will always think of you and your mother. May God give your family peace that only he can give. Much love to you and your family.

Dearest Juliana,

You would be 14 years old this year. The same age I was when this tragedy struck. Just starting high school and a whole new era of growing up.

I wonder what your life would be like. What would your favorite class be? Would you be playing any sports? Acting in the school play maybe? Would you have a crush on someone at school? Would you have Beiber fever? All of things things that seem so trivial and ordinary in our lives...

You are loved and missed precious girl, and most of all remembered. <3

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
