Ten years.. It feels like yesterday...I have never forgotten you... I always play basketball and shoot a three in your honor everytime....I always wait for your name to come and then I pause it just to take a few minutes just for you.. I am soo sorry for the tremendous loss your family has suffered.... losing three very special people.... I just wanted you to know that I am always thinking and praying that u and Matt are as happy where ever u are now that u would have been together here... Love u kiddo.. Miss u always... Never forgotten!

Kaleen,
I was remembering 6 years ago today when I was working in downtown Manhattan, and I witnessed the tragedy that took your life. That day stays with me because of the things I saw, but today as I was looking at the names of the victims, I came upon yours, and with that a deep sadness has come over me. I do want you to know that one memory I will always have of you is of our trip to the capitol in 8th grade. I was always an artist and felt unable to relate to the kids around me. I found you walking along the mall by yourself feeling much the same way, and soon we were laughing and talking and looking at the paintings in the National Gallery together. We talked for days about how we felt, and how sometimes we all feel so alone, and at the same time we realized that there were people like us, who were creative, and thoughtful, and sensitive, and that the world was not such a bad place. After the trip we went our separate ways, but I never forgot the gentle smiles you would give me for many years after when we would pass each other in the hallway. We understood each other, and that was something I will always take with me. Sometimes people impact you in ways you never forget, and those are the ways they remain with you forever. Thank you, Kaleen.

Kaleen,
It's hard to believe that this tragedy occurred five years ago already today. I think about you and your family often. I have fond memories of our childhood together and you were then as you are now...a shining star through it all. You always had a smile on your face and enjoyed life to the fullest. You are not forgotten. Keep smiling from above. We need angels like you looking over us. God Bless.

Not a day goes by that you are not deeply missed. From one of my favorite songs... "The only thing that gives me hope is that I will see you again someday" ...

Post your memorial thoughts:
Share your feelings and memories of grief and
sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories. If you knew this
person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with
us something about his/her life:
- what kind of person he/she was,
- what nice points you remember about him/her,
- what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
- what you two perhaps did together,
- what he/she meant to you,
- or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging
for other people.
This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.
Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner.
