My husband did the Nashville Firefighter Stairclimb today in memory of the 9/11 firefighter and they each walked for one and my husband walked for Keith. He was honored and we are very proud of him and what he did to save the lives of others. May God bless you and your family.

Keith was an amazing guy. A true gentleman. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. We worked together in a club in Miami. A real life SUPER HERO!

Keith was the right tackle I was the left on one of the best offenses lines in the City. On our way to winning the NYC B Championship Keith played Offense, Defense and was our extra point kicker. Soft spoken but the heart of a champion! Love you always.

As I look upon my past reflecting on thoughts of you. You impacted my life, which briefly you knew. I search for a sign to see if your dreams have come true. Astonished I find God has already taken you. On this earth short is your story but long live its glory. Blessed with eternal life you leave behind three angels and their guide to carry on yor legacy. God bless the Glascoe family.

Today, and every day, my heart goes out to Keith's wife and kids, his family, and those close to him. I knew him for a couple of years in the late '80s. When I met him, he was working as a bouncer at the Kahuna in Greenwich Village (as well as doing his day job). The first thing that struck me was that he was a giant teddy bear! His gentleness, his intelligence ... he was such a wonderful soul. Though I live thousands of miles away, I am right there at Ground Zero today. Love and hugs to all who mourn this extraordinary man.

Keith, I only knew you for a short time working with you at the Sporting club, Working with mountains of men like Archie and yourself, and me at a mere 175 pounds. But you always made me feel safe! I have a rye smile when I think of the funny nickname you christened me with... Dave The token white boy! You're not here now, however you live on in all those who had the pleasure of your company! In April of 2011 I will fly from Ireland to LA, from where I will begin a 3000-mile bicycle trip arriving in NY around June, I will be doing this with Parkinsons. And between you and I, I will dedicate the last leg into NY to you and your family. Dave The token white boy...RIP.

I knew Keith way back in the '80s and '90s when we used to play basketball together at the High School in the upper 70's on the west side on Saturday mornings. He was a soft-spoken gentleman-athlete back then and remained that way throughout his life. We also worked out together at Better Bodies, and I knew back then that I was lucky to have him as a friend.

I would visit him at night at Tattoo where he worked, and when we'd get a chance, we'd talk sports and just the day's events. Keith's soft-spoken manner was contagious. His sense of humor was dry and respectful at the same time.

He became a wonderful husband and father and true hero!

We must never forget the sacrifices that Keith and all the other heroes made for us to this day. Coming up on 10 years happened in the blink of an eye. My thoughts are with his entire family.

Interestingly enough, I actually was able to meet and know Keith when he was less than 5 feet in stature. He was a happy and delightful child, freckle-faced and precocious as you might expect. He and his darling sister similar in age to my niece who was born the same year Keith was and her younger brother were, great playmates. On occasion, the two Glascoe siblings were obligated to attend social gatherings; they sought comfort and joy in playing with each other through the arduous event. I pretended to be one of the crew and joined in the fun! Yes indeed it was a happy time.... And now....

God's Word tells us that absent from the body, present with the Lord. I firmly believe that. There is nothing I could do or say that would rightfully honor that gentle giant named Keith Alexander, but his Creator has. In fact, I believe Keith’s countenance would evoke an even greater glee than when I saw him play with his sister, my niece, and her brother.

Your son was one of the finest human beings I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I was just watching "The Professional" and wondering what was going on in Keith's life when I read that unfortunately he is no longer with us. I am truly saddened and sorry for your loss. I worked with Keith a very long time ago at a club in New York called Tatau. He was a real class act, selfless, a hero.

I attended Springfield College with Keith. I just read of his passing after looking through an Alumni Journal. I remember his smile and larger-than-life personality. I remember seeing him in several movie roles, and I actually ran into him in NYC some years ago. May his spirit live on, and may he R.I.P.

For those times when he was a bouncer at Peggy Sue's Club at 13th and University, we used to joke and have lots of good times hanging out. Keith was a true and outstanding human. I guess he was alway cut out to be someone that helped people in all different ways. May god bless him, and we will never forget a great person like him.

Keith and I were childhood friends. Football was his passion. We somehow lost contact during our college years. He was a fun loving guy who had a huge heart. I've thought about him often through the years and today I found out that he died saving the lives of others during 9/11. I am sad that he is gone but not surprised that he died a hero. My heart goes out to his family.

I knew Keith when he was a student at Woodward. He and my daughter Diane were friends along with Gina, Judy, Melissa, and others who also were students there. Keith was a delight, friendly and charming and ever so polite. What a wonderful young man, who had grown to be a professional, a husband, and a loving father. My family had left New York and moved to South Carolina in the late 70's, and I had lost touch with many folks, but I remember Keith and his dad, Ben. I remember visiting the family in a highrise somewhere near the Brooklyn Bridge. My thoughts and wishes to his family so long after his passing. Know that I have fond memories of him and his family.

I knew Keith when we were kids. He lived down the hall from my cousins, Michael and Leila. I remember playing with him whenever we visited them. I also remember how cool it was when he won that bike on Wonderama! I think it was the Snake can game. We also went to Midwood High School together. As we got older he was a bouncer at the clubs that I went to and worked out at Better Bodies were I was the General Manager. Our paths crossed our whole lives. He was one of the nicest people I have ever met in my entire life. He always had a smile, a kind word and always had time for a good conversation. My heart broke on September 11, 2001. I think of him often and every September 11th I take time out to look at his picture and talk to him and thank him for his years of friendship.

  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
