Dear Mr and Mrs Coleman,

Although we never met Scott or Keith, we feel as if we know them through the memorial services at the Unitarian Church in Westport, through the continuing services at Sherwood Island, and through services in the neighboring towns. We also see their smiles in the daffodils that were planted at the church. The gifts that your children had given you will always remain in your hearts. May you also find some comfort in knowing that so many of us care.

Dear Elodie,

You are in my prayers as I celebrate Mass today.

Dear Mr.& Mrs. Coleman,

I pray that the peace of the Lord will embrace you and your families as you mourn the loss of your two wonderful sons.

It's a good 10 years ago that we worked together at BCMG in London. I remember Keith as a very fine colleague and remember Elodie and Keith as a fine young couple. My thoughts are many times with both of you.

Elodie, you are in my thoughts often. It was a world ago that we roamed the streets of Notting Hill, newly married and starting off on our London adventures. Am about to redo this kitchen that you were so positive about when you helped me unpack. I think about Keith's magical rocking power at the Kensington Place (?) flat, when Isabel screamed nonstop. Keith insisted that his special rocking motion (that tired one's arms in 1.5 minutes) would always do the trick. (Would you believe Isabel just turned 12, and I took her to the Stones for her bday?!) I hope you, Vaughn and Neva are keeping well. I know you cherish every moment with them. Take care, lots of love, Rahel

Thinking of you brother in law as we get ready for the holidays.  Everything is always bittersweet since we cannot have you with us.  Ihope you know I will always be there for Neva and Vaughn.  Love them to death.  Imiss your amazing personality and spirit.  This is one brief moment in time. Love, Peace, and Hope.

Several years later and Keith's memory and tragic death still reminds me to embrace my children, love my husband and live life to fullest each moment I can. I am still inspired by how Elodie faces her daily life with such bravery and raises her children with a loving grace. I know that Keith would want Elodie to know that she is doing a wonderful job and that her entire family is amazed and proud at her ability transcend this tragedy and live her life. I think some of Keith's strength and overwhelming vitality was left here on earth for Elodie to have.

God Bless all who are inspired by those that we have lost and continued blessings on those that we have.

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner. We are maintaining this site with our own money and time. We try to keep the advertisements to a minimum and we try to make them as unobtrusive as possible. The revenue goes back to maintaining this site.
