I don't have the words to comfort, the wisdom to explain, or the true understanding of what the family of Mr. Cosgrove and all the families went through on that day. I only can give you my deepest sympathy, prayer and a pledge to remember all of you not just on Sept. 11th, but every day. I pledge to remember your sacrifice and specifically Mr. Cosgrove's love as a father and husband heard in his voice. I did not know the man, and I do not know his family. Yet my admiration is deep for you and your family Mr. Cosgrove. May you rest in peace. May God bring peace to those you have left behind, and know that so many of us continue to pray for your family each day.

I just heard your call on youtube. Your last words sent chills up and down my body, I couldn't move from my chair for a few minutes due to the sound of horror that came from your voice. Very sad. Jim/Iowa

To the families of Kevin Cosgrove and John Cherry,

Today, my 12-year-old daughter and I remembered you both. Today, we shed tears for the loss of two men on the 105th floor of the World Trade Center. Even though we never met you, you are still apart of the American family. You will never be forgotten in our hearts and in our thoughts. Our hearts and hugs go out to both their families.

Let your dear soul rest in peace at last. God bless you and your family.

God rest your soul, Kevin. I lost several dear friends on 9/11, and came across your name. Your precious life was unjustly cut short by those we don't understand. Even though we never met, I know you were a fine young man of good will with a caring heart. May the peace of the Lord be with you always.

John Cosgrove

Beth Cosgrove,

If you ever see this, know that I love you and miss you dearly. You are the most amazing, kind, talented, and beautiful girl in the world. Your dad would be so proud of you.

Even though it is going on the 10th anniversary of this tragedy, this is the first time I have listened to this phone call. My heart breaks for Mr. Cosgrove and his family and the men who were there with him. What a horrible way to die. I also feel sad for the poor 911 operator, who must have known that it was hopeless for these poor people and yet had to try to keep them calm.

I wish eternal peace and calm for Kevin Cosgrove and his family. I did not know him, but I listened to the recording of his final moments. The terror in his voice broke my heart. You know by the sound of his final cry to God that he knew instantly that his life on earth was ended, and, just as he feared and explained to the 911 operator that he spoke with, he knew he would not be returning home to his wife and children.

I'll never forget Cosgrove's account. As I listened I remembered the day and the helpless, hopeless feeling, my mind escaping to a state of denial as they jumped and fell. It was literally expecting to see those poor souls to pull a chute and glide to safety. I think from that day on anyone working or living too high for rescue should receive fundamental base jump training and have ample gear available throughout the building. It could have saved a few like Mr. Cosgrove.

I am from a small town in western Pennsylvania. I had no idea about Kevin Cosgrove. It made me re-realize about that day, and I just can't get it out of my head. Whatever it is that you believe about what really happened that day, many very, VERY brave people died and others lived that day. I can remember how I felt. And after this whole Youtube experience and thinking about what has happened in our country since then, I guess I am very bitter still. Is their a right answer? I guess there isn't any right or wrong answer, just FAITH.

I am so sorry. My heart goes out to you and your family.

Looking around Youtube tonight, I ran across a video of 9/11 that contained Mr Cosgrove's call to 9-1-1. And listening to him, I felt so sorry for him and his family, hearing him captured in the moment and time, knowing what his fate was to become. At first it stirred in me a sense of rage for the attackers that did this to so many people. But then, after thinking about it more, I was sorry for them, too. Because they truly are lost souls. R.I.P. to all who perished on that day.

A few days ago I heard Kevin's call on Youtube after watching "Flight 911." I did some research, and it's something that will stick with me every day — forever, in fact — just how horrible that day was for the people in the building. It makes me think, "What if that had been me?"

Sending my thoughts to his family, and God bless the families of the victims.

I wrote your name down and pinned it to my cork board for those times when I need a real perspective about life, when I reel of desperation. I will be strong ~ godspeed.

Kevin,

I am so sorry that this happened to you. You did not deserve to die this way. May god bless your family.

I listened to the video clip on Youtube in sheer horror. I can only imagine what he must've gone through. He gave a real face to 9/11, not just buildings being destroyed, but people's lives. My prayers are with his family. He is remembered, as are all the other victims who lost their lives in this terrible tragedy, so that their deaths were not in vain. We have not forgotten! God bless.
