To the family members of Kevin Cosgrove:

I recently heard the audio of 9-11 for the first time. All I can say is how horrifying that it must have been to have gone through that, because it is truly chilling to listen to someone's last moments like that. May God rest the people still recovering from these events almost ten years later.

I sit here at work, and when I have nothing to do, I watch and listen to your words repeatedly.... I have gone over it again and again.... You will not be forgotten ... ever ... and the Lord God Almighty will surely bring justice to ALL those responsible.... Rest in peace, Kevin....

I am Japanese. I heard the telephone conversation and your last words. Although I don't know you, it made me very, very sad. I won't forget you.

Mr. Cosgrove, I hope you're at peace.

Iím crying as I write this. I heard the phone call on Youtube. My thoughts are with him and his family, and I love you guys.

I don't remember the attacks when they happened because I was only 5 or 6, but lately I've learnt about them more and become angered about what happened to people and their families that day. Not one person deserved that. R.I.P., Kevin. My thoughts to the family as well.

I listened to the 9-1-1 call made by Mr. Kevin Cosgrove, and I cannot get it out of my mind. I can't imagine the terror and anxiety that he experienced. In one way, I feel that his call should not be aired, but in another way, it has helped me never to forget what happened on that day. R.I.P., Mr. Cosgrove. You were a hero that day. I hope your family is okay. I send them my prayers.

I don't know how I feel about writing this, knowing that you're not physically present to view it. I ended up stumbling upon Howard Stern's live coverage of 9/11 as it happened, and, as one thing led to another, I found your call at 3:30 a.m., and I cannot go to sleep any more. I have watched and seen almost everything related to that horrific day, but your last words will never stop resonating in my head. I am so terribly sorry for what you went through that it hurts. I wish so badly that there were something someone could do for you.

Though I don't know anything about you and I've never met you, Mr. Cosgrove, I care deeply for you, and I know you weren't ready to pass on. Good people in this world doing something worthwhile never are. I hope that those who did survive, as well as all of us who watched the tragedy unfold, will live life to the fullest, for you and for everyone else who had their lives so unjustly ended.

I'm sincerely sorry, Mr. Cosgrove.

I am from France, and I just heard M. Cosgrove's 9-1-1 call from the South Tower. I feel so sorry for everyone who lost someone during that terrible day. God bless America. Reposez en paix, Monsieur Cosgrove....

I've watched your call more then once. I just can't believe what happened. You must have been so terrified, the screams put me in shock and were burnt into my mind for the rest of my life. The first time I heard it, I almost threw up and had nightmares about it. I hope it was very quick. I feel so sorry for your family. I hope they are okay.... R.I.P.

Even though it's almost 10 years now and I'm a world away, 9/11 has always and will always haunt me. Mr Cosgrove's last moments will always be remembered and God bless his family. I can't begin to imagine what they were going through and hope that they did not suffer much. May his soul rest in peace.

When my friends and I heard Kevin's 9-1-1 call, we all felt sad and depressed. I know your family and friends must have loved you. I'm from the U.K. However, I still think September 11th, 2001 was the worst day for lots of people and Kevin and his family. R.I.P., Kevin Cosgrove.

It broke my heart when I listened to the recording.

I heard the phone call of Kevin Cosgrove on Youtube. And I don't even want to say how sorry I am because it's been said by lots of people and probably is overdone by now. September 11th is actually my birthday, so it haunts me, even though I wasn't there. I feel for anyone who had to deal with this. I can't imagine what you went through, but I can imagine how you felt. Losing someone is a terrible feeling, and the way that this happened would be unbearable. My heart and thoughts go out to you all!

*** Posted by Jessica K on 2011-01-15 ***

I can not imagine what you went through and what your family still must go through every day. They must be so proud of you and how much you loved them.

*** Posted by Sarah on 2011-01-09 ***

You and your family are in the hearts of many throughout the world. God bless.

It is so heart-wrenching to hear Mr. Cosgrove pleading for help for himself and his friends. We feel so helpless, and all we can do is listen to him. His thoughts were of his family, and I hope that God plucked him and all the innocent victims before the buildings collapsed. This audio, although heart-wrenching, is necessary so that we MAY NEVER FORGET.
