RIP Mr. Cosgrove. I never knew you nor had the opportunity to meet you but I heard the 911 call and have seen your handsome picture and it has stayed with me. I pray that you are in peace and I pray for your family to continue with strength. I can only imagine how they must feel, even after a decade. Thoughts and prayers are with him and all of the victims and their families.

I just heard your voice for the first time last night. I have been in tears all day thinking and praying for you. Over ten years have gone by, but the memory of the day is alive in my heart like it was just yesterday. Gob Bless you and I pray you have been resting peacefully with the Lord. We will never forget you.

Even 10 plus years after the fall of the Towers, I stil still play your 911 tape. I am so sorry you had to die in that inferno, and never knew why. I assume now you do know why. Your name will and will forever be in my mind and prayers. Mary

I never thought I would feel so sad for someone that I had never met before.Listening to those final words Kevin said made me feel sadder than anybody can think of.It was like I could feel the pain and being just as scared as He was.My best thoughts to all his family and I will always think of him.Forever.

Did Kevin enjoy the music of James Taylor?
If so, I believe this message was meant to be delivered. Your memory will not be forgotten. You will not have died in vain. Those truly responsible will be brought to justice. PEACE

I sat next to Kevin at Aon. It took me 10 years to finally listen to this recording. I think of him and Ron Fazio often. What I remember about both of them is the love they both had for their families.
I will never forget Kevin bringing his kids in for Christmas, it was great to see that other part of his life.
I listen to that recording and think how much was taken away from him.

i heard your 9-11 call and your last words. I truly feel like that shouldnt be available for us to watch b/c I cant imagine how your children feel when they see that. it really hurt my heart hearing that and I often think about 9-11 and try to learn as much as possible. I feel terrible for the victems families. many good people were lost on that day. god bless your family and all the victems families as well.

Kevin Cosgrove
i never knew his name before today
yet my world crashed down when I heard him say
those final words as his tower fell
im sure his family was all but well
the emergency operator tried to occupy his mind
she had no idea the crews wouldnt make it in time
he left behind a life not yet lived
he lost too much, a wife and kids
Kevin rests in piece while the world goes on
but the memory of him will never be gone

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
