My heart and soul are crushed by the weight of sadness, not just from the rememberacnce of the tragedy of 9/11, but from coming upon the horrific call on you tube of you mr. Cosgrove. To hear your final moments, the fear, the ending of your life. It is all so senseless! It will haunt me forever. My one wish is that your family will get through this anniversary and someday be at peace, as well as you being in a better place. RIP

Mr Cosgrove like many people here I have just chanced across the audio of your final moments. I felt like I was facing death when I heard you cry out. I am a 28 year old man and a professional but I cried like a child when I heard this. I watched 9/11 unfold on my TV in the UK live at the age of 18 and I couldnt comprehend the terror like I have today. I was upset in 2001, I have many friends in the US but I never felt horror like I felt when I heard your recording today.

When you said you phoned your wife, I imagined how I would phone mine. I put myself into your shoes without even realising. I could see the office floor and the terror in your head. The panic. The realisation that things are getting serious. The frustration with the authorities and the operator. I would have reacted the exact same way. I felt your thought processes as I imagined the situation you ere in. I was with you desperatly thinking what would I do? I cant get down the stairs, should I go to a window? And then I heard you cry out and to my abosolute horror I realised that you died from the collapse of the building. I pictured it, the ceiling falling, the whole office tilting to the side, like a bridge swaying high up and you panic and grab on to something. I know that terror but not how you knew it. I relived 9/11 today with a power that will stay with me for a long long time. You poor brave man.

To hear a fellow man cry out shook my to my absolute soul. I will never forget you Mr Cosgrove. I pray that your family may one day find peace and I hope that this never happens again. Please God, never again.

Hi Kevin

I heard your 911 call and the courage and bravery you showed in the face of immenent death was inspirational and will forever be with me. You have touched the lives of so many and you should be proud of that. I feel like we have a lot in common even though I never met you. I am also in the insurance industry and that day started out like any other day at an insurance company. All you did was go to work and attend "just another meeting." We all do this every day and dont think twice about it. The fact that you had to be put in that horrific position is senseless and beyond comprehension. Those responsible represent evil in its purest form. I hope you have found peace and nobody will ever forget you or the souls that parished along side you. Take care my friend....

I listened to your call for the first time yesterday. I have no words to express the horror and sorrow I felt when the tape ended. I have thought of you and your family non stop ever since and was doing an internet search which lead me to this site. You are gone but I have no doubt you live on in the hearts of your family and in the smiles of your children. My condolences to all who knew and loved you.

Dear Mr Cosgrove,

I heard your phone call and I want to say that you are really brsve. I know you are in a better place now.

Kevin, you died a terrible death and had to deal with such ignorance during the last few minutes of your life. You only thought about your family and your colleagues. I hope you are in a better place right now and your family are living happily. God bless.
