I don't know Kevin or his family. I was looking through pictures of people who were victims of 9-11, and his picture stood out. His story made me cry. My heart goes out to his family and friends, especially Jillian. You broke my heart. I hope you're able to find peace in your life. God bless.

I was Kevin Williams' Spanish teacher at Shoreham-Wading River HS. When I heard of his death, I was totally devastated. He was a wonderful young man—happy, friendly, polite, a pleasure to have in class. I still feel great sadness when I think of the loss of such an outstanding person. I will always remember him.

I'll never forget watching TV and crying as I heard Kevin's wife speaking about her search for him. I saw true love in her eyes and her desperation to find him broke my heart. I'm a stay-at-home mom, so I watched everything they had on TV for months after. The funny thing is, I only remember her (and Kevin) after all of the clips that I saw. It just stayed with me for the last eight years for some reason. I have prayed for them since that day. I just always have kept them in my prayers and have asked my five children to pray for them, too. I just wanted Kevin's loved ones to know, if they happen to read this, that we'll never forget him and the others. I hope you have found peace. God bless you all.

Kevin was an amazing person. He meant the world to his friends and family. May he rest in peace and be loved.

I really don't know this person, but I have seen his fiancee on youtube.com in a clip where she was looking for her fiance and very distressed. I hoped that she did find him, but sadly he was an another victim.

To Gillian Volk,

In quiet moments, when the hurt is hard to bear, may love become your shelter, and may the beauty of precious memories be your comfort. I'm so sorry for your loss!

May Kevin Michael Williams rest in peace!

I had the pleasure to play baseball on SWR High School Grounds this past Sundat 5-2-2004. I am a member of the MSBL 38 and over Hardball League. Any Baseball field is Sacred to me But "Kevin Williams Field" is Real Special. I didn't know Kevin but I know He was a Baseball Player and We are a Special Breed. I know he was a Son, Friend Baseball Player but most of all a True Hero. As My Wife and I were leaving the Field This Gentleman told us he was the Groundskeeper. I said to him that this is Hallowed Ground, he told Us He was Kevin's Dad. I got this Feeling of Sadness and also of Honor. I know what it like to lose Someone on 9-11. I could see the Sadness in his eyes and more so the Great Pride That Mr. Williams has. I respect all Feilds that we play on but I have to say this was an Honor and a Pleasure to Play on "Kevin Michael Williams Field". God Bless His Soul and His Family and Loved ones..Play Ball Forever..Bill Hannigan Father, Friend, Coach and Baseball Player.

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner.
