I remember Kevin as a small boy on Forest Brook Rd. My deepest sympathy to his parents Joan and George.

10 years later, Kevin (Radar) Reilly is not only remembered as a college housemate, roommate and drinking buddy. The memories are too numerous to ever be discussed without the appropriate understanding of the man himself. And the words have yet to be invented to describe a soul so loving and genuine as to have positively affected so many in so short a time. He was a hero of mine years before the world the world called him to be theirs...and although we all miss his physical presence, we carry with us his legacy as, what I would consider the highest honor to be bestowed upon any one..."A GOOD MAN"
Peace and love,
Ronnie DeStio

My family and I have prayed for this hero's family and loved ones since we received his name engraved on a bracelet from the Billy Graham Association. I never knew you, Kevin, but I have mourned your passing and I tell others about you and the sacrifice you made. Your memory will live on, as well as the story of your life. The more I learn about you, the more I want to share with others so we as a country will never forget. God bless and rest in peace.

Kevin 'Radar' O. Reilly
Gamma Kappa Chapter
Phi Kappa Sigma Fraternity
State University of New York @ Oneonta
My favorite memory of Kevin shows just what kind of guy he was: While we were pledging the fraternity in which he was already a brother, he told our pledge class to come over one Sunday. Instead of treating us like pledges, he just wanted to sit around and get to know us as equals; we were treated like we were already brothers, not pledges. I will always remember him as being a kind, friendly, outgoing guy. I was shocked to learn of his passing, but the fact that he gave his life in an attempt to save others did not surprise me in the least.
Friend, brother, the world is a sadder place without you. You will live on in the hearts of those whose lives you touched!!

Post your memorial thoughts:
Share your feelings and memories of grief and
sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories. If you knew this
person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with
us something about his/her life:
- what kind of person he/she was,
- what nice points you remember about him/her,
- what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
- what you two perhaps did together,
- what he/she meant to you,
- or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging
for other people.
This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.
Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner. We are maintaining this site with our own money and time. We try to keep the advertisements to a minimum and we try to make them as unobtrusive as possible. The revenue goes back to maintaining this site.
Thank you for your understanding in these matters.
