My dad was in vietnam, and he was shot out of a tower by a rocket and he told me as he fell he saw burning people and smoke and he told me that it was the devil himself he saw as he fell. He also told me that the boogey man is real and that its death and so for SGT bowman I know what he must have felt. I am sorry for him and his family and may he be resting in peacei hope his family knows that 11 years later he is still missed by everyone I hope everyone of his family reads this and knows I am deeply sorry.

May the love you shared with your wife rain on the men of the world. I never knew you or met you, but I know that you were a man of God. I truly believe that you are in heaven and I know that you are always and forever hovering over your angel. I love you Mrs. Linda Bowman. You are an inspiration to me.

Larry, I found your name on the 9/11 memorial site. I never knew you, but you are in good hands with the LORD. May God's peace go to your family and loved ones. I am sure that you are missed dearly. One day we will be together in the presence of JESUS and then I will get to meet you and your family.

It's me again, Bowman (smile). God allowed me here on this earth another year today. I am blessed to have known you and to have you as my husband. You can never be replaced, but I am longing for the love you gave me. I truly miss you so, so very much.

Your wife, forever and always,

Even though I know you cannot hear or see my comments you are thought about today. It's important to say that you are missed. Your smile, the way you lite up a room with your presence as well as your words of wisdom. I miss you, dear brother, and I am proud to know that you practice what you preached by sacrificing that others can live. Thank you, thank you!

I know you loss your life saving others. Not thinking of youself or you owen wellbeing. Your actions that day were unselfish, thinking only of others. I know this because I know you. When you moved back to N.Y, I knew I would miss you doging me at P.T or just the way you could get us fire up. The good Lord needed a strong leader, he called you up for duty. Tell we meet again, Never Surrender

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner. We are maintaining this site with our own money and time. We try to keep the advertisements to a minimum and we try to make them as unobtrusive as possible. The revenue goes back to maintaining this site.

Thank you for your understanding in these matters.
