When we lose someone we love, it seems that time stands still. What moves through us is a silence... a quiet sadness... A longing for one more day... one more word... one more touch... We may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget. We will see you again some day, in a heavenly place where there is no parting. A place where there are no words that mean good-bye. Gone yet not forgotten. Laura, even though we are now apart, your spirits lives within us Forever in our hearts. Love You Always!

It sounds like you were a very sweet person; you are obviously missed by some very special people. I never met you, but am completing a mile for each of you. I completed mile #71 in Wrightwood, California. Rest in Peace.

I miss your smile, your sweet personality, and our conversations in school and in the neighborhood. I never really had a chance to tell you how beautiful you were and how fond of you that I was. You are always in my heart, and I always talk to you. I hope that you are listening from heaven. I'm looking forward to meeting you again on the other side when god calls on me.

xoxo

It used to break my heart believing there would never be another like you. That was until I realized 'another' would never be necessary. It's been 9 years to the day that you were taken from us. Every year on this day I literally count the minutes until it's midnight and a new day. I just... if I could change ANYTHING in history I'd find a way to make sure you were never taken from us. I'll always love you Laura. I've never been able to let go or move on, and I'm not sure that I want to. I really do miss you kid. I do want you to know that I'm happy, and I pray that your family and friends can say the same. Good night Laura. Maybe I'll see ya in another life. Love, S.

It's so sad. I hope that the verity will be discovered one day.

Hello Angel,

As always, I'm thinking of you. Still today, tears flow when I speak your name or think of you. I miss and love you with all my heart!

Love,
Your friend,
Tana

I am just browsing through the victims of that horrifying day, and I just wanted to say, "Rest in peace." You died so young.

I am an Irish wife, mother, and grandmother, and my heart aches at the sorrow your family must feel at your passing. I will remember you in my quiet times, and may God hold you still in the palm of his hand.

We have just found our lost family, in Italy. My heart aches that I shall never meet you in my lifetime.

Seven years, and it still feels like yesterday. We had such fun together, and you always made me laugh. I will hold all these memories close to my heart tomorrow as we remember the tragedy seven years ago. I hope you are in a better place watching over us. I miss you. xoxo

Happy Holidays, Laura. I thought about you a lot over the past few days, and I pray that you're watching over all your loved ones because, even though you're no longer here with us physically, the world is so much a better place when we can feel you spiritually. You'll always be here with us because you'll always have a place in our hearts. Good night, Laura. We miss you, kid.

So.
Much.
As Always.
Merry Christmas, Angel.

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner.
