wow...what to say...11 years. Truly, there is not much to say, except God bless you. Not a good day, however it is a day to reflect on her smile, laugh, and know she is an angel. PEACE AND LOVE....

I worked with Laura at Qantas between 1985 until she left us from San Francisco to Tucson in Reservations and Qantas Headquarters in Los Angeles working our Midwest Sales Region Sales. When I last saw her during an airline sales event in Chicago, she was a happy, contented lady who loved her husband and her job. You achieved your goal to be a Qantas Sales Manager and to marry. We will not forget you.

I worked at Hilands Apartments and watched Mark and Laura meet and fall in love, then marry. They were a perfectly matched couple. The office staff was proud to see a beautiful relationship develop right under our noses. We loved it. Laura would come into the office with a huge smile. Mark beamed also. She was a very up beat positive person. I am so sorry for the huge loss to all of us that new her. Mark, I hope housed well!

I worked with Laura and met her husband. They made such a nice and handsome couple. They shared their wedding video with all of us from work. They are warm and caring people. I will always remember you in my prayers. God Bless Laura.

I worked with Laura at Qantas in San Francisco between 1988 and 1990. I only knew her by her maiden name, DeFazio. Laura had such a sweet spirit about her ... the kind that within five minutes of meeting her you feel like you've known her for years. She was very kind and considerate. Yet she also loved to have fun! One time, we went on an impromptu weekend trip to Lake Tahoe, and we had so much fun! Shortly after that, I left Qantas and moved back to the Chicago area. I deeply regret not keeping in touch with her. But I'm happy to know that she was promoted within Qantas and found a soul mate. It sounds like she had quite a happy life. R.I.P., Laura. God bless the DeFazio and Morabito families.

P.S.: How nice, Carolyn! :-)

We knew Laura professionally. I gave birth to my second daughter, Lauren, on 9/20/01, just days after Laura's death. We had a different name selected for Lauren; it was Elena Marie. My husband approached me in the hospital when Lauren was hours old. He said, "Let's name the baby after my client." We modified the name to Lauren Lee, as Lauren is a family name. So Lauren Lee, now 9 years old, is a special little gift who ensures that Laura Lee is remembered and that her gift of life carries on....

Love,

I never had the chance to meet Laura. I have been in the travel business for over 30 years. Just before 9/11 I was setting up a spac trip, and I was working with Laura on airfare with Quantas. I left for vacation in Europe with my family during 9/11, and upon my return, my first voice-mail was from Laura. I think about her all of the time. I pray for her and her family. I hope they have found peace. She will never be forgotten.

I knew Mark from Syracuse before he was married to Laura and knew him to be a kind and caring person. I still remember the day of 9-11 vividly, and I cried for Laura, knowing what pain her passing would cause for Mark. I'm so thankful Laura's ring and remains were found to help bring peace and closure to her life. I've been trying to locate you over the past few years, and I'm sorry that it's taken so long to find an outlet to express my sympathy to you, her family, and yours. Know that I always had you both in my prayers. May Laura rest in peace.

I was a classmate of Laura's at Abington Heights. Although we weren't close friends, I do remember her being a fun and energetic person. She was one of those students you couldn't help but admire. When I think of her, of course I remember that big, wide smile. I still can't believe she's gone. May she rest in peace, and God bless her family and friends.

I had the opportunity to meet Laura and her husband while golfing that previous summer. Though it was only for a few hours while playing on the course, I came away thinking what a great couple they were. Rest in peace.

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site.
