To the family of Leonard Ragaglia: 1 year after the attack our local radio station hosted a memorial at our local stadium. Each person was given a name tag of the person that lost their life and where (WTC, pentagon ect..) after reading the name we rang a Bell. I got Leonards name. Even tho we have never met, I will always remember him unfortunately as a victim of that terrible attack. I still carry the name Tag. If you would like the tag please contact me and I would be happy to send it to you.

Hope you are at peace, Lenny. You are a true hero. Gone, but never forgotten. Rest in peace.

Lenny was a wonderful father, son, brother, husband, and god father. He is missed more and more everyday. Whenever he was spending time with his boys he was happy. He liked nothing more then having a game of wiffle ball with the family. Lenny would have done anything for anyone fi you needed a helping hand he was the first person you would think to call and you knew he would always be there for you. He loved sports was devoted to his family and really did love his job. I remember a few times he would come home and tell stories about really bad fires he got caught in and how one time he hit the ground after the roof cavign in on him and didn't think he would make it out and he would get choked up everytime he would tell that story. Now I can only imagien how he felt that day because unfortunately he didn't make it out this time to tell us about it but I can only hope he didn't feel that way this time that it happened so fast he didn't have time to be scared or nervous. Lenny was my older brother and the best brother I could have ever asked for. He always knew how to make me laugh and even just beign around him would make u smile because he had a great personality that would just light up the room. He was taken from us way too soon but he;s in a better place now watchign out for all of us. Hopefulyl remembering and laughing at all the good times we've had together because I know that's what goes through out minds everyday. He is truly missed and words will never beable to describe the pain we felt when he was taken from us.

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner. We are maintaining this site with our own money and time. We try to keep the advertisements to a minimum and we try to make them as unobtrusive as possible. The revenue goes back to maintaining this site.

Thank you for your understanding in these matters.
