Dear Mr. Taylor,

You were such a great person and father. I was friends with your daughter Jessica when we were little girls. My mom Laura was friends with Karyn.... I just hope that you are okay, wherever you are. I'm so sorry for your family's loss.... We all have some really good memories that are still cherished today.

Leonard,

I will remember you and your family in my prayers. God bless you.

Although I did not know you, I ushered at your memorial service right after 9/11 at Reston Bible Church. My thoughts and prayers are still with your wife and two daughters whose loss is still difficult, I am sure. May the grace of God comfort them and keep bitterness from their hearts—we don't always get answers to our tears, but time helps dry them a little.

Lenny,
We had not seen you or Karen in many years, yet the pain of your passing still burns our hearts to this day. I knew you as a hockey player, yet one who, in spite of your tremendous talent, was one of the most gentle players one would ever meet.
I am certain, had your flight's passengers been aware of your situation, as did flight 93, there would have been one more plane that hit the ground that day, rather than its intended target. I cannot imagine what it was like for you to realize where your plane was headed. By then it was too late to do anything. Many here in the states have forgotten we are at war. In your name, I have not and will not, until bin laden and all those responsible have been brought to justice or met God's judgment. Your picture is on our fridge. You are not forgotten. God rest, and may God bless Karen and the kids.

Mr. Taylor,

I first met Jessica in August 2001. We were in the same third grade class. I had just moved to Virginia. Your daughter was the nicest person, and she was the first to ask me to play. She introduced me to her friends, and before I knew it, we were in Girl Scouts together, and I had made my own friends. That was the only year we were together in school, so we drifted apart as quickly as we had started, but I will never forget how she asked me to play with her and smiled! She is something to be very proud of!

Dearest Lenny,

Although I think about you, Karen and kids all the time, on 9/11 of every year my heart feels especially heavy. My daughter Kristin ran across an old video of all the old gang at a party - wish we could do it again. I know you are in God's hands now, smiling down on us.

God Bless,
Richard

Dear Lenny,
I never met you – but I have known your wife for a few years. I came across this site and saw that no one has posted a message. I thought it would be nice if I did.
I was a Nanny to your beautiful Children for about a year. They are great!
Jessica is doing well, she is the best in her class, has outstanding grades and a lot of friends. Colette loves reading and playing with her Polly Pockets.
Sometimes when I put Colette to bed she said she was talking to you. I could not help but cry. Your Children Love you very much, and I know they will NEVER forget you.
They are happy, so don’t worry about them. They got a puppy and cats. After Karyn, your wife has moved into the new house Chelsea died. I guess she was not just old but very hurt not having you around, and the new surroundings where too much for her.
I am sure she is with you in heaven playing and you guys are being a team again.

Karin is doing good as well. She has gotten engaged on her Birthday in 2002 and has her fiancés kids over for the weekend. She misses you terribly but yet tries to move on.
I want you to know that you are loved, by many including me. I love looking at your picture alone those, even without the stories your kids told new I could see how great of a father you where.
I am praying for you and hope you rest in peace.
All my Love,
Ola

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner.

This web site is affiliated with 24K Gold Music Shows - an oldies music showband performing in Central Florida. The members of the showband feel strongly that there were many heroes manifested during the onslaught of terror associated with 9-11, and present this site as a memorial to those whose lives were lost, and the loved ones they left behind.

24K Gold Music Shows perform primarily 50-60s Oldies, Elvis songs, DooWop, and older country music, as well as patriotic songs. All of the musicians, singers, dancers, and staff of the 24K Gold Music Shows extend their deepest sympathies to every one who lost loved ones on that terrible day.

24K Gold Music Shows performs an original song called "The Day America Cried", which is a 9-11 tribute song. In the live shows, they honor with the song not only the heroes of 9-11 but also those who are still alive: the police personnel, firefighters, emergency personnel, soldiers, and others who have served our country and kept us all safe.

Listen also to this beautiful, touching song "Love Can Build a Bridge" by 24K Gold Music Shows. Even though strictly speaking it's not a 9-11 memorial song, I still feel it is a very fitting song for the occasion!
