I also never met Lisa, but because of her I have met her mom and dad, Melanie and Tom, and have become good friends with them. Tom and I both work for the same company in Southern California but miles apart. We both enjoy doing marathons, and through talking with Tom, I found out that Lisa enjoyed going to the races and cheering her dad on. Shortly after the attack I contacted Tom, never having met him at this point, and asked if it would be okay with him and Melanie for me to run the Seattle Marathon in Lisa's honor. From that point on we have been good friends, and I love hearing Tom talk about Lisa. Even in her death Lisa is still touching the lives of many people.

My son was is the Air Force and flew over Baghdad many times. On one such flight he and his crew had an American flag with them. It was September 11. When he got home he presented the flag to Tom in Lisa's honor.

Lisa, I will never forget you and all the rest that lost their lives that day and will tell everyone I meet about you and your free spirit. Bless you and your family.

The most tragic day of every American is coming up on it's 7th year, and I can't forget a wonderful person that we lost that day, Lisa! Not only did Lisa brighten up the lives of everyone that she met, but she had this smile and a wonderful heart that friends can never forget. On 9/11 I will be remembering all of the lives lost that day, but most of all, I'll remember my friend, always and forever!

I did not know Lisa Frost but came across her name when reading about that horrible day. I grew up in Lake Forest and visit RSM all the time. From everything I have read about her, I can tell she was a very remarkable young woman who was very loved. May God bless and keep her family and loved ones, and may we never forget....

I never knew Lisa. Only this morning as I went to register my kids for high school did I come to know her. In the years following that infamous day, I had no idea that I had lived across the street from the high school that held her memory high. As I filled out the forms for my kids, I saw her graduation photo on the wall. It was affixed to a plaque with an eagle, an inscription, and some names and years. I knew immediately this was to be a commemorative plaque and this young girl must have died. It was the plaque dedicated to the scholarship in her name set up by Tom, presumably her father. I read the inscription, and the story of Flight 175, and of her tragic end. I shook my head in disgust that such a brilliant light was extinguished by a cowardly act. It said on the plaque that her GPA was 4.62 and that she graduated salutatorian, the second highest honor bestowed upon a graduate. Such a loss is felt by the whole world that would have benefited from her goodness. All of that education, that dedication, that spirit thoughtlessly discarded by a narrow few bent on evil being passed off as righteous zeal. I hope her legacy lives on in the scholarship.

We all grew up together in California. Lisa was a wonderful person with major ambition and drive. I was friends with her brother Danny. If any of the Frost family reads this, please e-mail me. LENDUSUMS@YAHOO.COM. I would love to hear about Danny. You will always be missed and never forgotten, Lisa.

I did not know Lisa Frost, but I remember her beautiful and cute smile in the picture published in our local paper. I was very sad in those days. I am from Germany. I love the USA, and I also remember how shocked I was after these terrible attacks. We will never forget all the victims of 9/11. God bless you all!

I found your grave today, and I wondered if you were one of the victims of our national tragedy. I was with my 11-year-old daughter, just kind of wandering through a Catholic cemetery in Orange, and there you were. There was a button with your picture on it. I came home and found the story of a truly remarkable person. I found your grave today and someone I will meet in heaven.

Lisa,

I did not know you, but was a friend of your brother's a few years ago. I know how much he and the rest of your family misses you. We all know you are in heaven, and RSM is less of a city without you. Wish I could have met you.

I was walking with my family today and came upon the tree planted in your memory. This brought me back to that sad and unforgiving day we will all remember, but I looked up into the clouds on this truly beautiful day and knew you were looking over all of us. I thought of you as I walked around the beautiful lake... god bless

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
