My Dennis, You had such a wonderful smile, An infectious one at that. You were one of the funniest people that I had the pleasure of knowing. You were kind and generous. My family adored you as I did. You will never be forgotten, I am extremely proud of you. Alessandra was a lucky girl to have had you as her Papi. May god bless her. May you rest in Peace. I cherish our memories. Love You.

Lt. Dennis Mojica, thanks for coming to our lives. Thanks for giving us your time teaching how to save lives in collapsed structures. I will always remember not only for this date. Also every day and when we have situations where we remember and practice your teachings. You were born here in Puerto Rico, but you gave your life for your brothers in New York while being!Boricua!. You always remember your strength by imparting your knowledge, your seriousness in performing your work and that great smile that will accompany you always. Never forget, Puerto Rico Fire Department

Dennis was a friend of my sister and a wonderful friend to our family. He had the most infectious smile! No matter how many times we went to the Puerto Rican Day Parade Dennis would search for my family to make sure he gave us all a Hug! That HUG is missed every year! Here's to you Lt. Dennis Mojica... I salute you today, tomorrow and Always!

I am an old friend of Dennis from California. All these years later, I still can't fathom this world without him. He is so missed.

I met Dennis Mojica at a Brooklyn Fire Station Ladder 120. He was a loving, warm person, very funny, made the world full with laughter. He worries about everyone he cares about. He was kind, smart, loving. I will always have him in my heart. He was a great human soul that god put in my path, and I thank god he put him in my path because he was a great joy to my life.

Lt Mojica was my instructor for a few classes. He was an expert firefighter and a great teacher. I still use the skills he taught me every day and think of him often.

I made a quilt square for Dennis Mojica for the United in Memory Quilt. He was a brave man that made the ultimate sacrifice trying to bring others to safety. Many people will always remember him. He made a big impact on many lives. God hold you and keep you in the palm of His hand, Dennis.

I will always remember forever as a friend back in the days when I hung out with Cindy, Norman and you at Cindy's house. You were a very friendly, warm and funny person and a sweetheart of a guy. May GOD keep you under his wing always. Remembering you proudly as a true American hero.

I met Lt Mojica sometime in the Spring of 2001. He and Dennis Amadio (FDNY-Retired) came down to Texas to show us a new rescue tool, The PowerHawk. After the presentation, the two of them stayed around for a few hours and chatted. My crew and I listened intently to Amadio (a chatterbox) and Mojica (the silent one) as they told stories and showed us lifesaving techniques. Quickly, these guys became part of the crew and when they left we felt as if we had known them forever. My first thought on 9/11 (I was on duty) was that there would have been a 2 in 3 chance that he was at the station when all hell broke loose. Dennis was at RescueOne, near the towers; I knew he would be there out of a sense of duty. I was saddened when I learned of his death. The world is a lesser place without him. God Bless Lt Dennis Mojica, his family, FDNY and the United States.

I met Dennis through a mutual friend of ours. Of all the things I remember about him the one thing that comes to mind is how he always made me laugh. Oh he was a really profound kind of guy and had a heart of gold. He was a family man. He lived at home with his dad and two sisters and his nephew. When we met one of his sisters was dealing with cancer. I went to his home and was so embraced by the love that was obvious in that home.
Dennis was a funny funny man and he was a good man.

Our lives took different turns but whenever I'd hear from him it was non stop laughing. When I heard through mutual friends that he became a father, I was in awe. How lucky and blessed this child will be to have a father like Dennis. I know her name is Allesandra and I know without ever having met her that she was loved and cherished by Dennis. I know she misses him terribly. But I also know that she has a guardian angel in heaven;her father Dennis.

God Bless you Allesandra...
God Bless you all.

I think of Dennis & his family often, not just on Sept. 11th. We knew Dennis back in our teenage years back in Brooklyn.  He kept us "rolling" with laughter whenever we were around him.  He offered Carlos some advice over 30 year ago and that was for him not to get out of the Air Force yet since the job market was not what he expected when he got out of the military.  Well Carlos took Dennis's advice and due to that he went on to make the Air Force his career.  We have now been married almost 32 years and we cannot complain. Our life as a military family was due much to the advice Dennis offered then. Carlos has since retired from the U.S.A.F. and we live in Florida. I pray for Dennis and ask God to hold him close always for he has a very special "Angel" in heaven with him now.  Our love to his daughter and family.
