Bobby,

I have so many great memories of you from the West New York Ambulance Squad. I have a photo of you goofing around in the back of the squad bay and you're smiling, like you must be now from heaven. I always think of you around this time of year and always tell my college students about you when we speak about 9/11. Your memory will live on every semester in my history classes as an example of the REAL definition of a HERO. Our nation will always be FREE because of men like you. Bobby, may you rest in peace in heaven. I hope to see you and that smile once again.

It is almost 7 years since 9/11. Every time I see the photos of that day I want to cry. I didn't know Lt Ciri, but I knew he didn't think about himself that day. but to save other people, and that is why he is a hero. To his family, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Although I didn't know Lt. Cirri, I knew he was a hero trying to save people on that tragic day. I will pray for his family especially his son, Bobby. And Bobby, I know how it is to loose a relative. R.I.P., Lt. Cirri.

Daddy,

Just about 6 years has gone by since I last saw you. But even though I can't see you, I know you are with me. I really just wish you were physically here to see me mature into a career in Law Enforcement just like You.... I LOVE you and miss you more and more every day....

Love,
Your Son,
Bobby

Bob, I still think of my years at JCMC learning to be a medic. There were many good medics that worked and taught there, including you. Thanks for making it fun. I know you are missed. Take care.

It has been just about 5 years and here I am thinking of calling you because I am stuck at work and just want to shoot the bull. Anyway still thinking of you and miss your calls.

My dear Berto, It doesn't get any easier, but I am so honored to have been your father. Your young life was filled with so many amazing acts of kindness and heroism. I will always honor your noble heart as long as I live on this fragile earth. With my aching heart, I love you. Your grateful father, Dominick G. Cirri

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
