God bless All our fallen Heros

Tommy was my first real crush and boyfriend as a teenager in the neighborhood. Even back then he stood out among his peers and was just a really decent guy. I have fond memories of him and his big family living a couple of blocks over from me. I wish his family much peace and contentment as the years pass as their memory of Tommy only gets stronger.
He left this world doing what he loved and became a hero in the midst of doing it. That is a blessing in itself. God bless you Tommy and family.

Tom, you are always in our hearts....ten years later and we will never forget what a wonderful person you were...i will always remember you coming to our building during a fire and helping everyone....you assured me everything was fine, and it was.....you will always be our hero.

Dear Thomas,

Another year has passed without an American Hero! How sad that is! I just wanted you and your family to know that I have not forgotten.

You are always in my prayers,
Bobby Reilly

Uncle Tom,

You taught me more about life than I was able to comprehend as a youth. Once every so often I have a moment where something you had mentioned now makes all the sense in the world. I attempt to cook with your enthusiasm and aspire to live with the same passion for life you did. I have lived everyday in my adult life attempting to honor your memory and will continue to do so.

I went to St. Margaret's with Tommy and had fond memories of him. As 9/11 anniversary approaches, God Bless all those that perished and all the loved ones left behind.

I was a classmate of Tommy. He came from a large Irish Catholic family, as we all did in our neighborhood. He was a nice kid and a good man. I'm watching the annual NYC Tunnel to Towers Fire Fighter Run right now. Just had to acknowledge Tommy again.

Just to let you all know, that although I am not a relative, I share the surname of which I am extremely proud with a true hero like Tom. My thoughts are with his family on this day and to the families of all the victims of this monstrous act. Tom, you were a wonderful man from all the tributes I have read and I hope you are at peace now.

All our thoughts are with you

Catherine O'Hagan.... Coventry, UK.

I'm only 13 as of January 7, 2008 this year. I found out I am a long lost nephew of Thomas. I wish I'd got the chance to meet him. He was probably a great guy. In my small town of Sarnia, Ontario I have mentioned him to all my friends, and he in my eyes is a hero, and I think that, just by reading about him, he was a great guy. I love you lots, Thomas, and I will remember your name forever. Even though I never met you, you are special to me, and you are my uncle. We all love and respect you. R.I.P., Thomas. You're a great man, and for that I will join the army and pass down your legacy.

I was in college when eveything happened. I remembered feeling so strange that day even not knowing what was happening in the States. Suddenly the news came in, and I felt that my heart was going to collapse, so much pain in our souls. A few days later I found out about a firefighter with the same surname as mine. I'm sure he was born to be a hero, and he died to be an angel. God bless Thomas, his family, and friends. God bless all the Heroes and victims of 9-11.

Tom was my Uncle. He was an amazing person, an amazing uncle/father/brother/son, and I miss him more than words really can say, and I am thankful to have known such an amazing person, and wish I could be half the person he was.

I was working on the movie "In America" in Dublin Ireland on that fateful day and I remember the horrorific news footage. I thought about the emergency services responding and the brave men and women going into action not knowing what was going to happen. With no thoughts but doing their job as professionally as possible. Little did i know that there was a brave firefighter with the same surname as me in action. I have always thought that I was proud to hold the name O'Hagan and knowing that one of the "Heroes" of 9/11 was one of us makes me even prouder !!!!!
God Bless Thomas. Rest in Peace.
My girlfriend Ruth was in New York last week and when visiting "Ground Zero" noticed Thomas's name on the side of a fire truck at the new station house. She got talking to fireman Tommy Day about that fateful day. He told her about Thomas and what happened and of the bravery of all the firemen. It surely was a bad day for the NYFD but I know that it has made a lasting impression on the people of the world. The bravery and sacrifice made by all the heroes will not be forgotten. I will not forget !!! God Bless Thomas !!!!!! January 26th 2004

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
