I was reading through articles on the 9/11 tragedy and came across your name. Even though I did not know you, it is really sad to know such a young person died that day. May your soul rest in peace.

I did not know you but want you to know that you are being thought of today, on the 10th anniversary of your death. RIP. Wishing your family and friends strength and courage as they continue to mourn your loss. I saw a picture of your mother in the NYT today and I would especially like to reach out to her and wish her peace.

Just received an e-mail this morning from the Gurudwara regarding the prayer service for Manika Narula. So sad to learn about the loss of precious life at such a young age. Darling you are in our prayers everyday and wherever you are, we wish that you are surrounded by a lot of love and peace and in comfort.

Manika was a beautiful girl, inside and out. She was kind and considerate when others around her were not. She was so smart, and her laughter was contagious. You will be forever missed! Rest in peace.

My name is Manika as well ... and it is tragic that you were so young. May GOD BLESS, and we will NEVER forget.

Manika,

I remember when we went to Stonybrook U. together. You always had the rare ability to make everyone laugh, even in a very serious time. I hope your family has been able to remember all the wonderful things about you and cope with your loss. I love you. I still can't believe you are gone!

Manika,

I feel blessed to have known you even for a short while at Stony Brook through friends. You were a rare person with inner and outer beauty. I don't think anyone will ever understand why you were taken so young, but may you rest in peace.

May God be with family of Manika and provide comfort and peace.

I didn't know her at all, but I know that she had a beautiful name. My name is also Manika, and I think she had to touch someone's heart while she was here. Thank you for your life while you were living, and thanks for the memories you left with your loved ones.

My love for Manika grows every day. I remind myself every day what awesome strength and light you brought to a room when you entered. I remember the first day I met you. I will always miss her presence.

Manika... I know it's been over 5 years since that horrible day... I just found out recently that you were lost with so many others! When I found out, my heart skipped a beat, and I immediately flashed back to middle school and a year of high school before I moved to Florida, and I just remember your constant smile. You will always be in my thoughts! My deepest sympathy to your family! GOD BLESS YOU!

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
