I met Margaret, a.k.a. Buffy, in StonyBrook. She was good friend. My favorite memory is bringing her home to Brooklyn one Fourth of July, and watching fireworks sitting on a curb (I think it was the summer of 1988 or 89).

You are always in my thoughts, especially on this day. I miss your laugh, compassion and advice. I feel your spirit sometimes and know that you have not truly left us.

I think of you often and you bring a smile to my face every time but today. I hope you always knew how much you meant to everyone, and how much we all miss you. Most of our stories cannot be put into print, but how we all smile. You are always in our hearts. Love You, Son

I think of Margaret all the time, but especially on New Year's Eve. She and Bruce hosted the best parties. She and I would stand in her kitchen and chat while she created wonderful dishes. Here's to Margaret and her chicken appetizer!

I only met Margaret a few times many years ago. But I remember her eyes, her kindness and her sweet smile.

My husband and I just returned from a trip to NYC. I couldn't leave without visiting the memorial site of the World Trade Center. At first chills ran through me, and then... such peace. She was a true American Hero.

As I walked by the photos and the memorial I noticed many people looking up with tears running down their cheeks. All of different nationalities and religions. What an enormous effect. It is a place where those who gave there lives now bring others together. What a sacrifice... The ultimate sacrifice.

Margaret gave to her fellow man on that tragic day and will always be an ispiration to me and many others that I saw on that cold windy February day a few weeks ago.

A woman that could not speak a lick of English came up to me and put her arm around me. We seemed to understand each other just looking at the enormity of it all. As we parted we gripped hands and hugged, tears abound. WOW......

May God hold Margaret in the palm of his hand. She and all those who perished on that tragic day are true heroes in my heart. I will never forget.

I never got to meet my second cousin Margaret. But from the stories I hear about her, she was great. To hear about what she did for her employees on that terrible day, makes me one day, if ever put into a situation such as this, that I myself would do the same thing and put everyone first. I wish I had the chance to meet her but I know one day that I will.

I am from Buffalo, NY. I did not know Margaret but was touched when I read about her heroism in letting her coworkers take the last elevator and she stayed behind. I think of that often. Here it is almost five years and it seems like yesterday. God bless her family.

My little sister, I love you and miss you so much.  I think of you everyday, I laugh, I cry and smile at the memories of us growing up.  Your determination and convictions were inspiring, you remind me so much of mom. Both Kim and I comment on how much of you we see in our daughter Alaina.  You were such a strong and confident women.  I never said it much when we were growing up but I love you and will never forget you in my thoughts and prayers.

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!
