Though years have passed, I will not forget that day, ever. Those who did not suffer your loss cannot know how you feel, but please know that I wish her family and friends lovely memories of Maria, and that those lovely memories overpower the sad ones. God bless Maria's family and friends.

My prayers go out to the family—and I'm letting them know that everything is going to be okay. Just keep praying and believe in god. Things happen for a reason.

My prayers are with the family who lost a family member. Even though I didn't know you, you were probably a nice lady, a nice lady who didn't deserve to die in this painful way. My prayers go out to the family.

Dear Maria and family,

May God bless you and keep you in his loving care. I heard on the Internet about the time you went to the Phillipines and saw the way the poor people lived, and you said, "I don't know how or when, but someday I hope to be able to do something about these children, about these poor people. Next time I come back, I will be ready." Since you passed away, your husband has been able to help these people and created the GK Village in your name, helping many, many families and changing their lives—just as you wanted. I also read your bio on the
In Memoriam Online Network website how much you loved reading books—that's something we have in common! God bless your soul.

We, my family, have seen the movie today (1-31-2009) titled Paraiso. We were impressed of her love for the poor people, though she did not personally fulfill it because of her tragic death. The loving husband continued her dream of helping the poor people of the Philippines, a mission. What a story! We have been blessed! We love it! May the Lord Jesus bless you abundantly.

I am sorry. I am afraid, but I am here to say I am sorry.

To the family of Maia Abad, I am so very sorry for your loss. I did not know her or anyone that was lost on that tragic day, I do remember watching it on TV and was so scared for the thousands of people that were there. I will always keep you in my thoughts and prayers. May God bless you and keep you safe. Sybil Deadmomd

I am truly sorry it had to end this way and hope all your family the best. I am sorry you passed at such a young age, I bet you had a lot of energy left. It would have very cool if I knew who you were. I would tell your family how sorry I was but I don't know who they are. I hope you know we are all in grief of what has happened in 911.

Dear Maria,
I might have not known you but the world got to know you when the towers went down. So I say a prayer and we remember all of those who perished on 911.

Even though I never met this person, I still feel the loss in my heart for her.... I know how her family must feel.

*** Posted by Mariah on 2007-09-06 ***

I did not know Maria, but my deepest sympathy is extended to her family and friends. I have made it my goal to read the bios of all the 9/11 victims - there were a lot of people lost who were worth knowing and admiring, and never had the opportunity to achieve their goals. They will always be in my thoughts.

Dear Maria, I finally went to Ground Zero for some closure, which was very hard to do... But when I looked around, I felt your presence, and I remembered only the fun and happy times we had at lunch almost every day at the WTC... And I thank you for that... But the cross that was made from the WTC at St. Peter's church broke my heart! And the reality came back that we must NEVER forget everyone who died that day and will be missed... Rest in peace, my dear friend...

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. This web site is affiliated with 24K Gold Music Shows - an oldies music showband performing in Central Florida. The members of the showband feel strongly that there were many heroes manifested during the onslaught of terror associated with 9-11, and present this site as a memorial to those whose lives were lost, and the loved ones they left behind.

24K Gold Music Shows perform primarily 50-60s Oldies, Elvis songs, DooWop, and older country music, as well as patriotic songs. All of the musicians, singers, dancers, and staff of the 24K Gold Music Shows extend their deepest sympathies to every one who lost loved ones on that terrible day.

24K Gold Music Shows performs an original song called "The Day America Cried", which is a 9-11 tribute song. In the live shows, they honor with the song not only the heroes of 9-11 but also those who are still alive: the police personnel, firefighters, emergency personnel, soldiers, and others who have served our country and kept us all safe.

The video below is a song you might like by 24K Gold Music shows, called Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy.
