Marie, you will always remain in our hearts! Still remember as if it was yesterday, collegues at the Acapulco Office asking, what flight you were on? Our hearts sank when we discovered that you were on that horrific flight. One thing that we all thought in common, was that you were a fighter and know that you could not have gone without a fight. My deepest admiration for the woman you were and remain in our hearts! My prayers and blessings to you and all your lived ones!

I worked with Marie and was always by her strong work ethic and discipline; she listened and cared about our concerns. I will never forget that bostonian accent. We remember you Marie.

i actually remember marie during the meetings that we had at ala foods this was during the time they wanted to turn totilla production room into a freezer we never really shared words with each other but during the meetings I noticed marie really did care about the employers and you dont see that to much these days so was very sadden when I found out what had happen prayers are with the family reason for this post was due to a friend at work was viewing footage from that unfortunate day whats even more ironic is that my wife father had a best friend by the name of maklovio lopez who was aboard the same flight

Marie always told me, that it was never too late to start over; well my sweetheart, I have done just that. A day does not go by that I do not think about you and wish you were here. I still miss you and love you very much and always will. Your sweety-petey.

I work for United Airlines. I helped with getting friends and family out to the memorial service. I have thought of Marie every day. I will never forget you.

I met Marie when she was looking for a dentist near her home and work. I was her dentist until her passing. Having been trained in Boston, I enjoyed not only her accent but remembering times we experienced on the East Coast. Every 9/11 I think about her and the loss of not a patient but a friend. In fact my entire staff speaks of her each year as she made friends with all of us. A special person was taken too soon, but we are all better from having the opportunity to know her.

Marie and I worked together @ ALA Foods. She was a great boss. My daughter Amanda had the privelage to meet her. My daughter always remembers the time Marie gave her chocolate coins and she thought Marie was funny and nice. I miss her very much. We will always remember her.

Someone recently reminded me it has been four years since your death on 9/11 but I could hardly believe it. There are so many questions I still wish to ask and so many things I need to say but instead the time continues to tick away while the feelings remain the same. I miss you and think of you often.

Post your memorial thoughts:

Share your feelings and memories of grief and sadness concerning the 9-11-2001 attack, or of positive memories.  If you knew this person, help us to build a small 'bio' of the person and share with us something about his/her life:

  • what kind of person he/she was,
  • what nice points you remember about him/her,
  • what kind of relationship you had with him/her,
  • what you two perhaps did together,
  • what he/she meant to you,
  • or other things about him/her might be especially encouraging for other people.

This web site is intended solely as a means of allowing all of us to express our grief and sympathy in behalf of the people who lost their lives, and also our love and compassion towards those who lost loved ones and friends in the 9/11/01 tragedy. The site is strictly for memorial mentions of those who passed away in the tragedy, not of other people who have passed away.

Our hearts are very touched with concern in behalf of those people, and it is to them that we dedicate this web site. It is not our intent to venture into the realms of WHO should face judgement, to take responsibility for those terrible events, because we have no way of knowing for sure who all might fall into that category. Therefore, any letters or notes written passing judgment upon any person or group will not be published on this site. We do NOT want this site to be a base for expressions of hatred, but only for expressions of LOVE!

9-11Heroes.us is a personal effort, not a business, nor is the site dedicated to any specific person or persons. We will not post negative comments. Moreover, 9-11Heroes.us reserves the right to choose which comments to post and also to edit the comments for spelling, punctuation, grammar, or edit comments that are unkind or offensive in some manner. The revenue goes back to maintaining this site.
